Ross's P.O.V
"AHHHH!". We all yelled together as we fell down wherever we were from the portal.I opened my eyes to see we were in a huge dark cave and that we were in something really sticky and white. "Ooh gross! What is this thing we're in?!". I said. "Well we wouldn't be in whatever this thing is if it wasn't for Sky, who fell in the freaking portal!". Max shouted . Then Shelby quietly whispered "um guys?" But was ignored by everyone in the room."Oh so this is all somehow my fault?! You're the one who jumped in after me!". Sky yelled. I knew Max and Skys argument wasn't going anywhere, so I ignored it and looked over at Shelby. Her face was as pale as snow and she was shaking like she was in the middle of a terrible thunderstorm. It seemed she was looking up at something, so I looked where she was looking and saw a GIANT spider on the ceiling with many red dazzling eyes and eight furry pointed legs. I turned over to see Max and Sky still arguing oblivious to the horrendous spider above us, so I moved my body to shake the now obvious, web we were in to get their attention. Once I got it I somehow made a sign to look up, and even though we were probably about to get eaten by a hungry man eating spider, those looks on their faces made everything worth it.
Max's P.O.V
When we saw a GIANT spider on the ceiling of the cave Sky and I screamed bloody murder as it started quickly crawling down to us. It jumped on the large, thick web we were fastened in and It started twisting up Shelby in the thick white strands of silk around her. Then I yelled " DON'T YOU DARE HURT HER ARACHNID!". I tried to move, but my arms and my legs were stuck in the web we were in and I couldn't break it. But I wasn't about to give up so I lifted my arm with all the strength I had and still nothing. The spider noticed my obvious peril and came rapidly crawling over to me. Petrified I remained still as the monstrous spider leaned down to me so close, I was within touching range of it. "max don't move a muscle.". Ross said. Then suddenly the spider started talking in a surprising feminine lady like voice. "Don't be to hard on him dearie. He's obviously desperate for all of your and his life.". There was an awkward silence as all of us processed the fact that we were in the presence of a talking giant spider. "Y-you can talk?" Sky asked nervously. "Yes, and humans certainly do as well. A lot. Anyways be quiet, I haven't had a decent meal in about 50 years!". She said with a bit of a sassy tone. "Listen we're not meals and we're not gonna be your dinner either so let us GO." I said VERY loudly. Then the spider hissed in pain and quickly crawled back away from me in the center of the loud. "Never yell like that again! you unpleasant flesh bag!". Then Ross, Sky, and I all exchanged looks between eachother. We had the same idea. "what you mean YELL LIKE THIS?!". Ross screamed. "WE DIDN'T KNOW THIS WOULD MAKE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE!". Sky yelled loudly with passion. "SORRY FOR THE HAVOC!". I shouted with all the strength I had in my vocal cords. The spider hissed so loudly the noise it made sounded almost inhuman. It jumped down through the web causing it to break which then caused all of us, even Shelby, to fall down through the webs, and more webs, and more webs until we slammed on the cold cave ground at the bottom of the cave. "Shelby! Get Shelby!" I said as I slowly scrambled up from the cold cave floor, brushing webs off of me. I yanked the webs off of her enough so I could see a pale face. It looks like she had passed out in fear and I picked her stiff ,cold, partly webbed body up in the frigid cave. "What do we do?". Ross asked. The giant spider found us, and jumped to our found hiding spot beneath all the webs saying "STAY STILL SCREAMING BEASTS.". As we were all shaking in fear, we saw another portal open up to an odd place and without hesitation, even when we discussed that we shouldn't, we all sprinted into the portal. The portal once again took us back home, this time to my house . The sudden appearances of the portal right when we needed them didn't feel like luck anymore. When they popped up right when we needed them, it almost felt like they were being forced instead of just mere luck.
