Chapter 3:

Liam's POV-

It was 6:30 and I had just left Niall's house. He was asleep, and there was plenty of food in the fridge so he would be fine for the night. Tonight was going to be perfect. I was taking Erin down to the carnival that was in town for the weekend. As I pulled up to her house, I could see her standing outside waiting. She was absolutely stunning in a light blue sundress that brought out a brightness in her eyes. She had her blonde hair pulled up behind her head, with a few stray pieces hanging down. Breathtaking. She climbed into the car next to me. "Hey," she said softly. I reached out and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Hello, gorgeous," I replied. "Ready?" "As I'll ever be." We drove off towards the carnival, making small talk the whole way. Once we parked, I ran around to the other side of the car and opened the door for her. "After you my dear," I said, giving a small bow. I took her hand and led her off towards the carnival. She drug me around to all the rides like a little girl. I just ran after her and laughed. After she drug me on to every ride at least 3 times, I dragged her to the end of the pier. We were laughing so hard, each of us leaning on the other for support. Once we managed to calm down, she wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up at me. "Tonight was perfect," she said. I tucked some stray hair behind her ears again and cupped my hand around her face. "That's only because you are here," I said. She blushed deeply. I stroked her cheek softly. "I love you, Erin. Believe me when I say it, because it's the truest thing I've ever said." "I love you too, Liam," she replied. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close to me. "I really mean it. And I mean it when I say I will marry you one day. Not today, but one day," I whispered in her ear. She laughed and blushed. "Please, Liam, let's not get ahead of ourselves," she replied. "I mean it. You can call me crazy, but I mean it. One day, I will marry you. Because I love you, Erin. You're the only one for me." Before she could respond, the sound of cameras clicking came from all around. Flashed came from bushes and benches all around. I put my arm around her and rushed her back to the car. "I'm so sorry about that, they show up everywhere," I said. "It's fine!" she said with a laugh. I drove her home playing soft music the whole way. We didn't talk much, just listened with the windows rolled down and enjoyed each other's company. I got out and opened her door for her when we reached her house. "Until next time," I whispered with a smile. With my arms wrapped around her, I kissed her, long and slow. "Until then," she breathed. She kissed me on the cheek and walked away.
