"Well, if it isn't FP Jones"
FP Jones took a glimpse of his daughter, surprised at how fast she had grown.
"If it isn't my daughter, Cindy Castellanos" he finally replies. He gets up from the couch, a smile plastered on his face. He hadn't seen his daughter for over ten years, since she was six. He approaches her with a hug, the raven-haired girl returning the affection.
FP takes the suitcases from Cindy, signaling for her to go inside the trailer, Jughead behind her, carrying the rest of the suitcases. FP closes the door and places the suitcases next to the door.
FP signals for Cindy to have a seat on the couch, leaving him and Jughead standing. Five seconds of silence go by before FP speaks. "So, how's Calabasas?"
"It's great" Cindy replies. She takes a quick look at her surroundings. "I'm definitely going to miss it." Jughead snickers, leading for Cindy to glare at him. "Guess we have our own Veronica Lodge now," the pale boy says. Cindy ignores his comment, clueless about who he was talking about.
FP elbows the lanky boy. "How's your mother?" FP asks.
"She's good. Her business is going well, she just has a lot of traveling to do because of it" Cindy says.
"Well, that's great," he says, a pang of sadness overwhelming him. "Let's get you settled in so you can get some rest."
"One problem," Cindy says as she stands up from the couch. "Where exactly am I staying? I couldn't help but notice how small this place is." the Calabasas girl says, referring to the trailer. "I'm pretty sure the two of you barely have enough space."
Jughead looks at her and then at his dad, feeling judged by the Calabasas girl.
"Sorry for it being so crammed. This isn't your mom's house" FP replies.
He stares at the ground, allowing himself to think about the dilemma.
"Joaquin's trailer is empty. No one has taken up the space" he finally says, directing the statement to his kids.
"Yeah, it's empty. I'll ask Toni to help me clean the place up" Jughead says to his dad, ready to get rid of his half-sister.
"Then its settled. Clean it up quickly, and we'll have Cindy settled in" FP says, giving a small smile to his daughter. Jughead leaves, closing the door behind him. Cindy settles back on the couch.
"So, you had another kid?" Cindy asks, her attitude kicking in.
"Yeah, I cheated on your mom," he says nonchalantly. Cindy nods her head, slightly surprised.
"So, just to get this straight, he's my half-brother?" Cindy asks, preparing herself for the answer.
"Yeah," he says with a scoff. Cindy covers her mouth with one hand.
"Isn't that great. I have a sibling who seems to be an actual scum" Cindy says harshly, causing FP to sigh.
"Look, you both have my blood, and I refuse for you to insult my son, who is your half-brother," FP says, causing Cindy to raise an eyebrow. "Might I add, you're new here. I have things to take care of, so you'll be spending most of your time with Jughead and his friends. They'll show you around."
"I don't deserve to be here" Cindy mumbles. FP catches her statement. "You're just like your mother" FP comments, causing Cindy to infuriate.
"No, I'm not like you or my mother. Its been more than ten years, and I refuse to be like the two of you: selfish" Cindy replies back. "I'm glad we're off to a great start."
