A/N: Yey I updated. LOL.. Anyway, enjoy reading. Every time I write when stressed, it turns out to be somewhat like this, so..

Three months has passed but he hasn’t moved on. And so does her. Kesslar.

He has always been beside her since that day. Every day that she visits and every night she cries herself to sleep. It was not easy to see her, to be close to her but not able to touch her. To feel her. If it wasn’t difficult enough, every bit of hope was drained from everyone when the doctor said it’s useless.

There was no chance. No more chance for him. With just a simple push on the button, it’s bye-bye world for him.

She was the most devastated. She begged and cried more. She does not want to but his family has decided. That night, she cried harder and wasn’t able to sleep. She was just crying until she thought she dried herself from tears. It was heartbreaking for him to see her.

Looking at her fragile state, he wanted to curse everyone—anyone. But he knows better. He knows he can’t because it was his fault after all. He was the reason she’s crying every single night and the reason she’s hurting more and more.

“Hey Kess.”

He returned to reality (if this is reality, it sucks) after hearing the guy’s voice. Elijah. The only guy who keeps coming back despite her consistent pushing. He was all smiles, just like today.

“Hey,” Kesslar muttered, so low he didn’t know if Elijah even heard it.

“What’s up?”

He sat on the other side of the table, facing her, smiling as if her one-word reply was so good.

She raised a brow and stopped moving her food around the plate to look at him. The look she was giving was something he had never seen since that day. That day that drained her from emotions.

“Nothing’s up. Can’t you see?”

She waved her hands around to show him there really is nothing. Elijah nodded as response. He didn’t say anything after that, just stared at her and kept smiling.

“If you won’t stop smiling, I’d start thinking you’ve gone nuts. And then, I’d tell my parents to get me a bodyguard so you won’t be able to come near me again,” Kesslar said, frowning at the guy.

He laughed, choking a bit on his drink.

“You could’ve done that before but you didn’t so I’m assuming I’m still safe to be close. At least you’re not gonna call the mental.”

And then Alexis saw it. The very reason he fell in love with her. It was just small but it was real. It was not like those fake ones she shows to everyone when they ask her if she’s okay. It was the first real smile after three long months.
