Sean sighed in frustration as Kailani immediately pulled away from his grip and got off him. He looks up at the nuisance that interrupted their moment and rolls his eyes.

"Ken.. Gabe.. what are you guys doing here?" he asks through a forced smile. The boys break out into laughter at Sean's obvious fake politeness.

"We were just here to play some beach volleyball and we thought that was you." Gabe laughs, tossing the volleyball at Sean's chest.

He catches it and holds it tightly between his two hands, trying to resist the urge to chuck it at his face. "Well, you found me. Now what do you want?"

"Nothing, dude.. We just.. we were just curious to see who you were with." Kenneth says, shifting his attention towards Kailani and flashing her a smile.

"Hey, guys." she says, giving an awkward wave and smile.

Gabe looks at Kenneth and then to Sean with a mischievous grin on his face. "Say, Sean, are you going to Kyle Hanagami's class tomorrow?"

Sean looks at him in confusion. "Uh.. I mean, I wasn't really planning on it."

Gabe hits Kenneth's arm and he perks up, smiling at the both of them. "You should go!" Kenneth says before turning to Kailani. "You too, Kailani. It's a partners class so you guys should go together!"

Kailani blushes. "Um.. I haven't really done a partners class before—"

"Well, what a great time to go to your first one!" Gabe says, clapping his hands in excitement. "I mean, since it looks like you already have a partner." he smirks.

She looks over at Sean, who is giving his two friends the death glare.

What are these boys up to?

"Um.. I mean, if Sean wants to.." she says, trying hard not to blush in front of Sean's friends.

"Oh, we all know Sean would love to!" Kenneth says, nudging Sean, who was still on the ground. "Seanny boy is always looking for challenge."

Sean clenched his fists at Kenneth's statement, knowing he was referring to the bet.

"We don't have to if you're not comfortable.." Sean says quietly, turning towards Kailani.

She gives him a soft smile. "No, it would be fun.. We should go."

He nods. "Alright, I guess we'll see you guys there then." he mutters, tossing the ball back to Gabe.

The boys grin and wave bye before running back down the shore.

"That was.. weird." Kailani says, laughing.

Sean sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "Yeah.. really weird."

It's the next day and Sean was picking up Kailani to go to Kyle's class. He still wanted to kill Kenneth and Gabe for pulling that stunt on him and Kailani at the beach but figured they ended up giving him a good opportunity to spend more time with her. On the way to Julian's apartment, he had realized that although he and Kailani had danced together before.. they had never actually danced together before. He could already feel the sweat forming on the palms of his hands.

She opens the door and hops in the car. "Hey, Lew." she grins.

"Hey, KaiKai." he chuckles at the little nickname he gave her when they exchanged numbers.

"So, partner, you ready for this?" she smirks.

He scoffs, trying to portray his cocky persona to Kailani so he wouldn't seem as nervous. "Please, I'm the best partner you could ever have."
