2AM rolled around and a knock sounded on my door.  I get up to go answer it and there was Justin standing there in a baggy shirt, basketball shorts, and some slippers.  I chuckled, "I see you're dressed to impressed."
"Ha Ha, I see you're dressed to impress as well." He scanned me up and down.  I was dressed in my sweats and a tank top.  It is 2AM and I'm ready to go to bed and sleep, but this conversation is my top priority right now.  We make our way to the couch. The couch where we made memories together and now making a new memory. 

"Alright, so what did you want to talk about?" Justin asked as he plopped down on the couch.  "Us. Especially, about what happened tonight."
"I knew it."

"Why'd you ask then?" I asked, he shrugged. "In hopes that we can talk about something else first." He grinned.  "Okay, well we can talk about the show and our favorite parts." I smiled, he nodded. "Wanna guess mine?" He wiggled his eyebrows, I rolled my eyes. "Let me guess...Your performance." I laughed.  "How'd you know?" He laughed, I shrugged. "I don't know just a feeling. Although that was my favorite part of the night too. I wasn't expecting you to do any of that."

"It went better than I expected. I originally was going to sing you a song that I wrote for you, but I didn't want to make you cry to the point you ruined your makeup, then you really would've been mad at me." He laughed.  "Well you still managed to make me cry." I laughed with him, once our smiles faded I spoke again. "Singing our song tonight...made me realize how much us being together affected my life." I paused. " When I was on stage with you, I remembered that moment when we were in the studio recording it. I felt happy in that moment with you."

"I felt the same." He responded. "But do you though? Or are you  just scared of the fact that you might have to move on from me one day?" I said back to him, he shook his head. "I did feel the same Ariana. More than I've felt with Selena or anyone I've come across."
I shook my head and grinned, "Don't lie to me Justin. I saw those pictures of you and Hailey on the carpet tonight...You looked happy." Justin sighed, "Yeah of course I'm going to look happy, in front of the cameras, but I was also happy that I was about to pull a big show stopper...I was happy that I was going to be next to you."
"That's not what I saw in your eyes." I sat back, clutching a pillow. "You have to believe that that happiness was for you Ariana."  I let the room fall silent. Trying to think of my next sentence was a challenge for me.  I didn't want to make him mad and storm out of my house, but I also didn't want him to not know my true feelings for him.

Then I spoke. "Look....I see that you really like Hailey, but you're still attached to me. You need to let me go romantically because I've already let you go romantically."
"What?" His eyes widened with terror in them.  I simply nodded and looked at my hands, "I love you Justin, I really do, but with everything that we've been through...I can't do anymore, but I can be friends with you."

Justin shook his head, "Ariana please think about your decision a little longer. I feel that if we get together again this time, we will never think about ending it with each other again." I closed my eyes, "Justin..."
"Ariana just a day to think it all over. Just to be sure." Justin pleaded.  "I don't have feelings for Hailey, I have them for you and you only. I did this whole thing tonight for you, my whole performance was for you. No one else."

"Fine. One day, I'll have people ask me questions and if those question help me with my decision then they help me and there will be no going back. Deal?"
"Deal."

"Okay. Goodnight Justin."

"Goodnight Ariana."

I walked Justin to the door as he stepped outside he leaned back in to leave a kiss on my cheek. I gave him a soft smile and closed the door. "Why is this my life?" I said out loud as I turned off the lights and headed up stairs to bed.
