|17| Love Me Harder

"Ladies and gentlemen...Justin Bieber!"

The lights turn on, lighting up the stage to reveal Justin as he is beginning to sing.  Justin takes a deep breath before he hits his notes correctly.  "Can we? We be...be each others company..."
When the beat comes in the lights change to blue and green lights, while a subtle white light follows Justin as he walks across stage.  His eyes scan the room, he can see some familiar faces, he spots Hailey and she is giving him a thumbs up.  His eyes then land on Ariana and she is watching him closely.  She has a grin on her face, while singing along to the song, before she knew it Justin was in front of her face, grabbing her hand to guide her on stage.

Ariana::Grande

Justin's name was announced and I couldn't help, but get excited to see him perform.  It was going to be a surprise for me on which song he was singing because he didn't tell me.  Mainly because I've been shutting him out.  Then, the music starts playing.  He chose to sing "Company" which happens to be my favorite song of his.  I'm singing along with him as if its just me and him in this room.  On the second verse of the song he seems to be getting closer to me, but I'm thinking that this is part of the performance and he's going to do this to other people in the front row. 
Justin grabs my hand and next thing I know is that I'm being guided by him up the stage stairs.    I look back at my mom and friends with a confused look on my face.  Then the song transitions into a song that Justin and I wrote on his new album.

As the instrumental plays, he begins to talk to me, "Ariana..."
The room erupts in cheers and a smile appears on his face, making me nervous about what was going to happen next.  Soon one of Justin's dancers handed me a microphone.  "Yes, Justin." I reply back to him, making the room erupt again in cheers.
"Would you like to help me tease a new song to everyone?"

"I mean I'm already up here, so we might as well." I smiled, then looked to the crowd. "Let's do it."

The song starts and all I can do is smile because this song highlights our feelings toward each other when we first met each other.  Hearing it play out the way it did was so surreal, I didn't want it to end.  I try and dance a little in the dress that I'm wearing, I didn't want to be too boring on stage.  This whole moment made me forget that Justin and I weren't together.  All I could think was that he was mine and I was his. 
Then I was surprised because then I hear Drake's voice coming out the speakers, I gave Justin a confused look and look around as I look back at Justin he has a whole bouquet of roses.  My mouth drops, my eyes begin to tear up, and the music lowers as Justin raises his mic up to his lips.  "Ariana, I wanted to say this to for so long,  but every time I tried it was never a good time." He chuckled. "This probably not the best time either, but if I didn't tell you this now, I could've missed my chance to tell you this."

I'm still in shock, then I realize that we are still in a room full of ever celebrity you could think of.  Justin takes his breath before continuing, "There is no other person I'd rather be with than you, you pulled me out of my slump that I was in. You made sure I was okay when things weren't going right. You are my life and I feel like I can't live without you."
I smiled and my tears managed to escape my eyes, "Justin, I'm going to kill you for making me cry in front of all these people." I managed to get out.  "I appreciate this and your kind words, but you know you didn't have to do all this extra-ness."  Justin shrugged, I shook my head and gave him a hug. 

Then, the song continues and we both finish the song.  Justin with a smile on his face, me with roses in my hand, and my mind thinking about what was about to happen next after the whole show ended.

After the show.

"This night was interesting." I spoke as we all got settled into the car.  "Did you know about the performance?" My mom asked. I shook my head, "I knew he was performing, but I had no idea that I was set to perform too.  Along with getting handed roses."
"Now that that has happened, how do you feel about him?" She asked.  "Frustrated. I just need to talk to him and come to an understanding with him."
"Get to it...Because the longer you wait, the more he will have the idea that you want to get back with him. Do you want to get back with him?" My mom asked, I gazed out the window, "I'm not sure."

All I could think about on the way home was, "Do I want to continue our relationship? Or do I want to continue living as friends?" I look back on the day we first met all those years ago.
I was in my hotel room in New York and he was watching check out my room and scared me as he was talking.
That interaction was so stupid, but it led us to this moment in our life's and I'm grateful for it, but I'm conflicted with this moment.

Me
Can you come over, so we can talk. Please

Justin:
Yeah, I'll be over at 2. Is that okay?

Me: 
Yeah, I'll be up.

Justin:
Okay see you soon.

After I sent the text, I looked at the time it was 1AM, I had an hour to get out of my dress and remove my makeup before he got to my house.  This talk was about to my everything come to the light...
