The Doctor stared in silence as Rose walked past him, reminiscing on all the brilliant memories he's had with her. Just the name "Rose Tyler" brought great memories to his mind, great happiness, but also terrible sadness. He was dying, and he thought it fitting to see her one last time before he "changed". But it wasn't just a "change" it was a death sentence, called regeneration. He would lose himself, and some new man would walk away, with all his memories. He would be forgotten...
"Ughh" The Doctor groaned, he felt the pain of the regeneration cycle starting. His groan caught Rose's attention, and she turned around.
"You alright mate?" She asked? He looked a bit drunk
"Yeah" He said barely managing it
"To much to drink?" She asked.
"Something like that." He said.
"Maybe it's time you went home."
"Yeah."
"Anyway, happy New Year." She said with a smile
"And you"
She started to walk away, and he said goodbye to all the memories he's shared with her, all the monsters they defeated, the planets they saved, galaxies they've flown across.
"What year is this" he asked.
"Blimey how much have you had? 2005, January the first."
2005 the Doctor thought. This is the first year, the year she'll run away with some crazy war torn man with a leather jacket in a blue box, and nothing would ever be the same. She would have so much fun
"2005?"
She nodded"Tell you what, I bet you're gonna have a really great year" He said with such joy knowing the happiness she would embark on soon
"Yeah? See you"
She said with a smile as she ran back into her apartment. Yeah she'd see him soon, but this would be the last time he'd see her.His joy was soon replaced with sorrow as he remembered he was dying. He grunted as he limped towards the Tardis.
"Ughh uh uh Aghh" He groaned as he tripped and fell into the snow. As he looked up he saw Ood Sigma standing before him.
"We will sing to you Doctor, the universe will sing you to your sleep."
The Doctor stood up dealing with the pain as he soaked in the sounds of the universe singing him to his demise, and he walked back to his Tardis"This song is ending, but the story never ends."
The door handle felt cold in the winter air. Creak He opened the doors and walked up the metal ramp, the floor clanked heavily with each passing step. He threw off his long brown coat, and welcomed the end. The Doctor held up his hand, the golden light of the regeneration energy shimmered out. He limped across the console and shoved the traditional lever, Thrump the Tardis dematerialized into space for his last time, before his death.Wwwvvoorp Wwvvoorp Wwwvvorp wheezed the Tardis engines as she flew away from Earth. The Doctor walked away from the console and thought to himself all the memories he had in this regeneration, and all the memories he could've had. He thought up all the thing that could've happened, that he could do so much more. But it was already to late. Thoughts of friends came flooding back to him. Rose Tyler, Reinette, Martha Jones, Sally Sparrow, Donna Noble, Jenny, even River Song. All of which he failed to save, or was to late. He felt immediate guilt for all the pain and sorrow his travels brought them...
"I don't want to go...."
It wasnʻt his time, he couldʻve done so much more. The Time Lord began to breathe heavily as the regeneration energy began to slowly pour out of his limbs, he threw his arms out waiting for the change to take place... and wwvvrrrosshhhhhh, all the regeneration energy shot out of his body, streams of yellow lights flooded the console room. The hot energy struck the console, and the door.
PFT PFT BOOM PSHHH PFFBRRROOOM CLANG SHATTER!
The Doctorʻs limbs blew up into a hot stream of energy, but he wasn't the only thing to blow up. PFFF CRASH BOOM The pillar creaked and fell to the floor with a CRASH and a loud metal CLANK! The entire Tardis was in flames, and quickly crashing to Earth.
"AGHH!" he screamed as the regeneration finally began to fade away, and the pain slowly subdued. It was done.
The Doctor cringed, and began too examine his body oblivious to the flaming crashing Tardis.
"Right, what do we have this time?" He felt around and examined his new body, taking note of his hands, legs, and face only to realize...he hasn't even changed. Same fingers, same toes, same amazing hair.
"No, no, no no, no no no. What? What!? What! This isnʻt possible...this is completely impossible, I can't be..."
BOOM BANG! The ship tilted and shook!
"Right never mind that then, crashing..."
He ran across the console and pulled the monitor to assess the situation. Running to the other side again he began jamming at some buttons, and pulling random levers."Well... Allons-y"
[A/N: to be continued depending on reception. I think it's a brilliant story, and an interesting new perspective, then again that's my opinion lol. Comment, vote please, and enjoy ^_^]
