Toby is hanging over a railing when Mike touches his shoulder.
Mike: You ok?
Toby: Peachy. Been turned into a gargoyle, can't walk out in public because people will he terrified of me, can't see my parents. So yeah Mike, just peachy.
Mike: Sorry I've brought all of you into this little crusade of mine.
Toby: What else were we gonna do? Go home to our parents and be like "Hi mom, I'm a meta and I can never go out in the streets because I look like a monster"? Pretty sure she'll freak out about all this.
Mike: You know you could've just not have joined me in this littlw battle against probably psychopathic teenagers with insane crazy attitude.
Toby: And do what? I just told you I can't go home or walk around in public. And besides, you're my best friend. What else am I supposed to do, let you go fight crime in your own?
Mike: Don't you miss you're family?
Toby: We all miss our family dude. We just kinda forced to be here. Except Jess, she can do whatever she wants because she looks normal.
Mike: I guess.
Toby: Though I think the reason she stayed was because she likes you.
Mike: WHAT?!
Toby laughs.
Toby: Exactly as I said.
Mike: You're fucking high.
Toby: You haven't seen the way she worries about you dude.

Toby: Go talk to her then.
Mike: I will!
Mike walks away from Toby.

Mike walks down the stairs and sees Mary and Golem in Golem's cell. Mike walks towards them.
Mike: Hey guys.
Mary: Hey Mike. What you doing?
Mike: Just wanted to see if you're ok?
Mary: About?
Mike: You being a meta? You living here and not being able to tell your boyfriend and family how you're doing and-
Mary: I'm fine. Sure, I miss... him. And my parents? Oh well. Just gotta adapt.
Mike: Are you-
Mary: Just drop it Mike.
Mary looks at Mike with a stone cold look.
Mike: Ok. Sorry.
Mike turns around and leaves Mary and Golem alone. Mike then bumps into Crystal.
Crystal: Sorry Mike.
Mike: No no, it's ok. I was actually looking for you.
Crystal: Ok. What do you want?
Mike: Wanna see how you are?
Crystal: Mike, I'm literally a human chandelier. I can't go back home and see my mom, make sure she's at least living. I'm not doing great but I'm not... terrible.
Mike: I see.
Crystal pats Mike's shoulder.
Crystal: Thanks for checking up on me.
Crystal walks away and Mike goes into a room. Mike sees Jacob messing around with some equipment.
Mike: You know what you're doing?
Jacob: Not a clue. So, what do you want from a guy who's stuck in this suit for his entire life?
Mike: To see how you are, but I see it. Sorry to bother-
Jacob: I miss her.
Mike stops and turns around.
Mike: Madeline?
Jacob: I wonder if she thinks about me?
Mike puts his hand on Jacob's sholder.
Mike: I know she does. And I promise, we'll find away to get you to be with her again.
Jacob: Thanks.
Mike: No problem.
Mike leaves the room and then sees Nelson in a corner sitting. Mike walks over and sits next to Nelson.
Mike: You ok?
Nelson: No. I'm a monster and I can't go home. Can't see my mama, papa, hermana and my nephew. All because I'm this... Beast.
Mike: Sorry about that.
Nelson: Now if I was able to revert back to normal, I wouldn't have a problem but since I'm this monster forever... I can't have them see me like this.
Mike: I know man, I know.
Nelson: Thanks for listening.
Mike: It's what I'm good for. By the way, have you seen Jess? Apparently according to Tobias up there, she has a crush on me.
Nelson: And you don't?
Mike: Shut up.
Nelson: She's in the lab somewhere.
Mike gets up.
Mike: Thanks.
Nelson: Just remember to invite me to the wedding!!
Mike: I hate you all!
Mike walks into the lab and sees Jess looking into a microscope. Mike sneakly walks behind her and taps her shoulder. Jess jumps from her chair and uses her telepathy and starts making Mike's brain hurt.
Mike: White flag Jess, white flag!!
Jess stops as soon as she realizes it's Mike.
Jess: I'm soooo sorry!!
Mike: Heh, it's fine.
Jess: You shouldn't had sneaked up on me!!
Mike: You're a psychic, you should've read my mind.
Jess: I was... busy on other things. So anyways, why are you here?
Mike: Just checking on you, making sure you're doing fine.
Jess: I'm doing good. Why you asking?
Mike: Aren't you worried about your family?
Jess: Yeah? I guess, I mean I would love to go back to Ashley but I'm needed here.
Mike: Weren't you the one who didn't want to join my crusade in the first place?
Jess: W-well I had a change of mind. Can't I have that?
Mike: I mean yeah, but Toby saids the reason you're staying is because you like me?
Jess: W-what?!
Jess starts blushing and she turns away from Mike.
Jess: I have no idea what he's talking about?
Mike: He's probably seeing things and just trying to get under my nerves.
Jess: Y-yeah, that's probably it.
Mike: *sighs* Well, I just wanted to see how you were. See you later.
Jess: Yeah, see yah.
Mike gets up and leaves the lab. As soon as Mike exited the door, Jess slammed her head onto the table and sighed.
Jess: Hate you Toby, so much.
