Short Short Story Awards [CLOSED FOR JUDGING]

Only a few rules here!

1. Entry must be a short story written in English. It also must be just one story, not a collection of short stories.

2. Entry must be 3000 words or less. I originally accepted many more words, but it took forever to judge.

3. However, this can take the form of any amount of chapters. The story can be one chapter of 3000 words, or six chapters of 500 each, as long as it falls below the word limit.

4. Entry can be in any genre except poetry, because part of the judging criteria is plot and other things not usually found the same way in poetry as they are in prose, and fanfiction, unless the only 'connection' it has to the series/book/show it's based around is using the same characters and other small things like that. Basically, it has to be able to stand alone as its own story, so someone who doesn't know what it's based off of will still be able to read and understand it fully. Sorry about that, but the story will probably not be judged correctly if the judge is unfamiliar with the world it takes place in. The password for this contest is bumblebee.

5. LGBT content and themes are accepted. I feel like this would fall under the above, but sometimes people ask about it specifically, so here it is.

6. Anything extremely PG-13 or higher in terms of plot is not accepted. This is not meant to be an extremely mature content-level contest. However, dark themes and foul language are accepted, just not full smut or anything like that.

7. You must follow this account and add this book to a public reading list. This is so you can get updates and information.

8. No plagiarism, bribery, foul language directed at others, etc. Please just be respectful about this. I'm not giving away money or anything special that y'all need to fight about.

9. You may only submit a maximum of two stories per contest. However, you can ask to add other stories to another round of this contest, as, if all the spots are filled in the first one, I'll certainly hold another. This is not a one-time-only contest.

10. Following my account lepus_leporis  and looking at some of my work over there is appreciated, but not required.
