It had been a few days since the Tournament Of Power and everyone had gathered because Vegeta's family was having a baby shower for Bulla. Everyone ate, talked, and generally just had a good time. Yamcha's gift for Bulla was a teddy bear. Even 17 joined the party- sort of. He video-called from his phone, but since he was going on a cruise with his family it was excusable- although Yamcha wondered if 17 was taking all his island's animals along or not, too. Vegeta seemed happy about his daughter getting so much attention until he realized that Pan, who was Goku's granddaughter, was already flying around. When Pan accidentally hit Vegeta and Goku laughed, Vegeta challenged Goku to a fight and of course Goku obliged. They both went Super Saiyan Blue, standing on a couple of pillars of rock, taking the fighting stances they had used during the time Vegeta tried to invade Earth. They began fighting and both Bulma and Chi-Chi walked away, exasperated. Marorizu watched her fellow Saiyans fight with an expression that said really? Yamcha just laughed. "Some things never change." he thought aloud. "You're right." Marorizu said, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and kissing him. She pulled away. "For one thing, I still adore you."

A few months later Marorizu gave birth to another child- Pine's baby brother, Dim. After spending hours with his newborn son and while having a baby shower of their own, Yamcha was standing on the balcony of his house next to Goku. They just stood there, watching the Sun dip lower and lower over the horizon. Eventually, Yamcha spoke: "This is nice." "Huh? What do you mean?" Goku asked. "I mean that this is nice." Yamcha replied, "Just two friends standing on a balcony and watching the sunset." Goku placed his hands on the back of his head in a relaxed way, grinning. "Yeah, I guess it is. By the way, Yamcha, can I ask you something?" "What?" "I'm not trying to say Earthlings are weak or anything, but... I keep getting stronger at a way faster rate than you, but you still keep trying to surpass or at least keep up with me. How do you keep doing that when you know that you'll probably never get stronger than me? No offense." Yamcha smirked at his friend. "Call it spirit. Besides, if it came down to it, I think I could honestly beat you in a fight if you didn't use any of your godly transformations." "Is that a challenge?" "We are not going to have an all-out fight at this party." "Aw, c'mon." "Goku, stop always thinking about fighting! Live a little!" Goku paused, then eventually laughed. "OK, OK, sorry." "Can I just say that the Tournament Of Power was freaking crazy?" "No argument there. Were you scared?" "Sometimes." "Me, too." Yamcha looked at his friend with surprise. He had never seen Goku as the type of person to show fear, no matter how bad the situation was. "What? What's with the look?" Goku asked. "Nothing, I just thought that you didn't get scared." Yamcha replied. The two friends laughed. "Goku, I know Krillin's your best friend, but where do I stand in the lineup of friends you've got?" Yamcha asked. Goku raised his eyebrows. "Honestly?" "Yeah." "If Krillin can't fight by my side, I'd choose you to have my back right away." "Uh, wow. Thanks, Goku." "It's the truth."

They stood watching the sunset for a little longer until Goku turned around to walk away. "Hey, Yamcha, you coming?" Yamcha glanced at his friend and smiled. "Yeah, I'll be with you in a minute." Goku walked away as Yamcha faced the setting Sun again. Once he was all alone, Yamcha took a deep breath, then exhaled. I did it. I have everything I want and need now. I'm happy. Yamcha thought. All that time, all that training, all those reflections on the past , everything... It's all been worth it. I've got a family. I've got friends. I'm a totally capable fighter. Yamcha beamed, still thinking to himself as he saw the Sun slowly disappear over the horizon. "Yamcha?" Marorizu called, "Come on! Dim wants to see his father." Yamcha could hear Pine fussing over her baby brother, who was gurgling and making other baby noises, eventually squealing and calling out "Da." That probably meant Dad, so Yamcha quickly looked at the Sun one last time as it finally seemed to vanish, then saluted no-one in particular while facing it, making it look like he was saluting the Sun itself. Were there more threats and problems to come? Probably. Frieza was out there somewhere. There was still that whole thing with the older version of Future Trunks and the Supreme Kai Of Time. That teenage time-traveler, Fu, was also somewhere out there, and although he was a good person he also seemed like a bit of a mischievous kid. But for the time being, Yamcha was determined to sit back and relax for a while, so he turned around as the final sunbeams illuminated him from behind.

Then, Yamcha walked away to go spend time with his family and friends.
