(Around 1 Year Later)
Yamcha and Goku had been revived. They both appeared in Korin Tower, scaring the talking cat half to death. After some debating, it was decided- Yamcha would head to the battlefield while Goku would ride on his Nimbus after gathering some Senzu Beans. But unfortunately, only one was fully grown. Goku sighed. "We'll just have to be really careful."
Yamcha bid Goku and Korin goodbye and blasted off at top speed. As he flew, he pondered over the future. In order for me to be happy and live with Bulma... I have to make sure Vegeta dies, or at least that Bulma doesn't fall for him- wait a second. He began to remember Trunks and the heart virus cure and everything again. Yamcha took a deep breath. I can't kill Vegeta... Bulma has to fall in love with him so Trunks can be born... Soon, he arrived at his destination. In an instant, he scanned the battlefield. Vegeta and Nappa stood alongside six Saibamen, facing Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu. Yamcha prepared to land, and he shouted "Room for one more?" He hit the ground and glanced over at the others. "Hey, everyone." Gohan's expression brightened. "Mr. Yamcha!" Yamcha smiled. "Hey, kid. You've grown!" Vegeta smirked. "Interesting! There's six of you and six Saibamen. This could prove to be entertaining." Vegeta's Saiyan henchman, Nappa, grinned. "Let's play a little game, shall we?" Yamcha directed his gaze towards the Saiyans and Saibamen. He stared at the little green henchmen, and had a flashback to his first death in his old life. He clenched his teeth and stepped forward.
"I'll fight them first." he said through his gritted teeth. Tien glanced over. "Yamcha, are you sure? I could try." Yamcha's snarl turned into a confident smirk. "Nah, trust me. I'll show 'em why no one just waltzes on over to Earth and pushes us around." Vegeta smirked. "Heh. What confidence." He glanced down at one of the Saibamen. "Very well, then. You! Attack." The Saibaman nodded and ran forward on all four limbs, then leaped towards Yamcha. Right before the fight began, Yamcha made a decision- I'll hold back a lot... for this one.
The Saibaman leaped towards Yamcha, and they both vanished. "Huh? They disappeared!" Gohan exclaimed. "You're still relying on your eyes! Stop using your sight and sense their energy!" Piccolo barked. Gohan closed his eyes, and after a few moments, he seemed to tense up. "Can you see them?" Piccolo asked. Gohan suddenly opened his eyes and began looking back and forth. "Yes! I can see them!" the son of Goku exclaimed.
Yamcha fought with the Saibaman all over the area, until eventually he swept its legs out from under it with a kick, then threw another kick, this time towards the creature's face. The Saibaman ducked, but Yamcha used his other foot to kick it in the face. The Saibaman tumbled across the ground, but steadied itself. Yamcha appeared behind it and attempted to punch it, but the Saibaman caught him and spun him by the arm, then threw him upwards towards the sun. Yamcha went hurtling into the air, until finally he regained his balance. He was still in midair when he stopped himself. Alright. No more games.
The Saibaman looked up at the Sun when Yamcha charged down, throwing a kick. The Saibaman jumped out of the way, onto a large cliff-like rock, and Yamcha jumped after it. "You're not going anywhere!" The Saibaman leaped at Yamcha, its claws outstretched, when Yamcha vanished. The Saibaman hovered in the air for a moment, confused. Yamcha appeared above it, and his hands were cupped at his side. The Saibaman's eyes widened and it turned around, but it was too late- Yamcha fired the Kamehameha and nailed it, with the blue energy wave hitting the miniscule monster in the chest/stomach and sending it careening down into the floor so hard that a crater formed around its steaming body. Yamcha landed outside the crater, facing the Saiyans and remaining Saibamen.
Yamcha chuckled. "Well, that was easy. Looks like your little monster wasn't as tough as you thought." He moved to face the invaders head-on, then spread his feet and pulled back his fists, lowering them to the sides of his body. "I think I'll go ahead and clean up the remaining five as well." "Y-Yamcha, don't be so reckless!" Krillin said. Yamcha glanced back at his friend and grinned. "Don't worry, Krillin. I've got this!" Suddenly, the Saibaman he had fought leaped out of the crater and grabbed him, and Yamcha grimaced. Here it comes. The Saibaman self-destructed in a large explosion. Everyone stepped back in shock. "Yamcha... no!" Tien exclaimed. "YAMCHA!" Krillin shouted. Suddenly, the smoke was swept aside, and Yamcha stood in the middle of a crater, not a scratch on his body. He glanced back at the others once again. "See? What did I tell you?" He looked towards the Saiyans and remaining Saibamen. "Now, as I was saying..." He hopped out of the crater, took a battle stance and smirked. "Bring on all five of 'em!"
Nappa laughed. "Ha ha ha! You heard him! Go!" The remaining Saibamen all nodded and charged. Yamcha quickly shifted his feet, then punched the air. The Saibaman in the lead was seemingly hit by an invisible force, and it was killed. Yamcha threw his arm to the side in a sweeping motion, and the remaining four Saibamen all skidded to a halt as dust shot up in front of them. Suddenly, Yamcha appeared in front of the pack, and he immediately crushed one of the green-skinned minions by punching its head in. He turned to another and whacked it across the face, killing it instantly. One of the remaining Saibamen leaped towards him, but Yamcha grabbed it by the face and slammed it into the floor. The last two were visibly nervous, and they backed up, looking around in a panic, since Yamcha had disappeared into the smoke.
Suddenly, one of them dropped dead from a strike to the back, and the final Saibaman uttered a noise of fear in the tongue of its kind: "Gaaa?" The creature heard a noise behind it, and it whirled around, only for Yamcha to kick it in the jaw, sending it flipping through the air. Then, he appeared above it and slammed his elbow into the Saibaman's back with a yell. The Saibaman went hurtling to the ground, hitting the dirt with a crash.
Yamcha landed next to the body and dusted himself off, then faced the Saiyans. He smirked. "Thanks! That was a good warm-up. So, which one of you two wants to suffer the beatdown of a lifetime first, huh? I'm all revved up and ready to go!" Nappa grinned and stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. "Heh heh heh... Don't get too cocky there, little man. I'm gonna squash you like a bug!" Yamcha took his fighting stance, raising an eyebrow. "We'll see about that." He grimaced. I can't afford to waste too much energy on Nappa- I need to save my strength for Vegeta and buy time until Goku gets here! Yamcha's frown deepened ever so slightly, and he shifted his foot. The battlefield was silent. Yamcha's eyes sharpened, and Nappa's grin became larger. Then, the two fighters charged.
Nappa and Yamcha both vanished, and then Nappa reappeared, looking around with a confused expression. "Hey. Behind you." A surprised Nappa whirled around. Yamcha stood there with folded arms. "Hi. Nice day. What were you looking for?" he asked. "Cocky bastard!" Nappa growled. "Funny, I was gonna say the same thing about you. Now, what were you rattling on about? You told me you were gonna squash me like a bug, didn't you? Haven't seen any proof of that yet. What are you waiting for, an audience? 'Cause you got one right there, all of them standing and watching." "S-shut up!" Nappa yelled, sprinting towards Yamcha. Yamcha just sidestepped out of the way and landed a knee on the side of Nappa's face. Once the Saiyan got back onto his feet, Yamcha resisted the urge to exclaim Man, that felt good! out loud. He grimaced at Nappa and Vegeta. "Let me show you what you're really dealing with here." He began slowly raising his energy towards its peak, and the ground began shaking. Nappa looked rattled as he glanced at Vegeta. "Hey, Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?" Vegeta looked like he was about to burst a blood vessel as he ripped the scouter off his face- "It's over 9,000!" -and crushed it in his hand. The Saiyan prince growled in disbelief as his comrade stared with wide eyes. "Nine thousand?! There's no way that can be right! It can't! Your scouter must be malfunctioning!" He faced Yamcha again with a wild expression on his face. "No mere Earthling could be stronger than me!" Yamcha scoffed as he stopped raising his energy. The shaking in the ground ceased. "Hey, Mr. High And Mighty, I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been making sport of you so far. So either get serious or you're gonna get way more injured." Nappa's eyes became bigger, until he took a deep breath and removed the top portion of his armor, grinning. "Heh heh heh... Alright, fine! I'll get serious!"
He began running at Yamcha when in an instant Yamcha began charging a Kamehameha. "I'll finish this right now!" he declared, throwing his hands forward. "Kamehameha!" As he fired the blast, around his body there was a red aura for a brief instant. The attack obliterated Nappa and he screamed as he was reduced to mere ashes. Yamcha swept aside the dust cloud and set his sights on Vegeta. "Now it's your turn."
