So I was a little late for posting. So what?

|The Forest|
I followed the path until I came to the border between the Ferrosh Forest and the Winter Tide forest. I noticed how the road stopped as it leads into the peculiar forest. I stopped my horse and made myself look around at the view. The snow has built up now to the point that it was almost up to the foreleg of my horse.
I felt bad for the creature. It must be so tired by the constant movement. But I needed to get to this place. The Knights will be checking for me in the outer territories soon. I could not be caught outside area or I will be executed on the spot.
Though maybe I wanted to be executed. Executed before I face the hell that was waiting in front of me.
I could see my own breath now, and the sun was almost nothing but an after through for it was only a slight ray of sun now peeking out behind the clouds. I better use this time to look at my map and get a good look at where I am.
I looked down at my waist and unlatched my leather strings that tied my map to my waist and pulled it off. The map was supposed to tell me what general direction I should be heading. I unrolled it from the original state it was in and held it up to the sun to get a better look at it. I looked at the labeled places on the map and found the area I was supposed to be. I found the exact spot at where I sat on the border.
I couldn't help myself from looking at where Develon would be. I found him on the map a good fifty miles away from my current location. There would be no possible way we could meet up. Not with the knights on my ass.
"Well, this is it," I said down to my horse like it could understand what I was saying.
I shook my head trying to shake the drowsiness out of my mind and then I sighed. I raised a hand up to my hair and pulled back my long bangs. I wish these ten months would not be the longest in my life.
I put the map back into my waist and tied it then scanned the treeline. I needed sleep now bad. I remember the only sleep I got was me slumping down on my horse as the horse was walking and fell asleep. Only to wake up to my horse jumping over a log that made me fall off the horse completely.
Thankfully I didn't injure myself.
It's been two days from the time I saw the moon man last. What was his name again? Sylvester, right. Sly for short. I could never allow my brain to forget his name. His kindness should and will never be forgotten. Someday, I will repay my debt for his kindness. I think this to myself, lifting my eyes up and scanning the tree line again.
I noticed how the trees went from a small pine tree to huge pine trees in about a ten-mile radius. The trees were now about the size of my dorm building. That was about the average height at least. Thunderstorms were rare here due to the fact it was so fucking cold. That means no matter the height, the trees must have been here for a long, long, while.
I squinted my eyes and looked into the tree line to find nothing but eerie darkness. I sighed to myself again. Every bone and muscle in my body told me to head back in the direction I came. Though I knew I couldn't do that. I would be caught and killed anyways for being a coward. That's how it always was.
One time I was sent out as one of the people who hunted out cowards. I found a few of them, though I never had the will to kill them. So I gave them all the same meeting spot to run away. I hope they banded together and made something truly great.
