"So your surgery went well, right?" My mom gifted me with a proud smile, her eyes turning into pure crescents.
"Yeah, it was a success" I shrugged, sipping some latte that I bought at some vending machine.
"I can already tell she'll be at the top of the doctor's list at the end of the year, below me, of course" He lightly chuckled and I just rolled my eyes.
Me, Dr. Kim and my mother are sitting at her office, having a little break before splitting up for our own duties.
Dr. Kim and my mom at their own work desks, while I was slouching on the small, burgundy couch next to the window.
"That would be such an achievement, Nari-ah! Work hard, but not too hard, okay?" Mom looked at me with a glistening eyes.
She's been so happy and hopeful this week, her chocolate eyes glowing everytime Dr. Kim said something about my work. I truly hope that glow will never leave her eyes, but what if she starts pushing me too far?
"Yes, mom" I enthusiastically nodded and smiled.
"Nari-sshi, you'll need to check up on a patient in 15 minutes" Dr. Kim glanced at the clock.
"Which one?" I asked, hoping it would be that sweet little girl who I've met over the week.
"Do you remember your first patient? On your first day?" The ends of his lips turned into a small smile.
"Hmm.. Yes, it was a young man. He's finally conscious?" My eyes widened a little.
"Yeah, he woke up today. There's a lot of balloons in that room, so don't get startled when you walk in" He giggled.
I just smiled and nodded. Dr. Kim has been very nice and we bonded through the week, he's been showing me around and reminding me of everything I already knew.
"It's that boy, right? From Busan? Aigoo, I heard he's quite a famous dancer there! There's been a lot of young girls going around his room, asking to go in" My mom shook her head.
"From Busan? Oh, Jungkook is from there too!" I beamed, remembering my friend that I should visit soon.
From the corner of my eyes I swear I saw Dr. Kim roll his eyes. What's his problem?
"Yes, he is! Invite him to visit us someday, maybe Jin could come too" Mom smiled.
She always thought of them as her own sons, even though she already had Hoseok and another son. It's so sweet and nice of her to treat them this way, especially since we get along really well.
"Jin?" Dr. Kim looked confused and popped his eyes out, staring at my mom.
"Kim Seok Jin. Do you know Jin oppa?" I slowly said the syllables.
"Oppa?" He furrowed his brows as his gaze turned to me.
"Why? You know him?" My mother asked, a bit surprised.
"Oh.. oh yeah! We were friends back in uh.. school. He's my hyung. Wow, what a small world" He awkwardly chuckled and looked at his wristwatch.
Before he could say anything, I stood up and looked at the clock.
"I'm going to check up on the patient. See you later, bye!" I quickly waved my mom and Dr. Kim goodbye and walked towards the most 'popular' patient we have at the moment.
Soon enough, I saw a group of girls standing next to his door, flowers in their hands as they talked to eachother.
I gently walked past them, and before I could open the door, the girls ran towards me, blocking the way.
