"Nari-ah, pass me the scalpel please," the man spoke through his white mask.
We were in the middle of a tough surgery, trying to get a few bullets out of the boy's chest.
It was the same boy, surrounded by love and colourful balloons, who had the widest smile on his face when he met others wearing the same expression.
Quickly placing the scalpel on Taehyung's extended palm, I started tidying up the place, not being able to stop the warm tears spreading onto my white shirt. I have no idea why I even cared that much.
"The other nurses left" The doctor spoke, looking around for any eyes other than mine.
He then deeply sighed and spoke up, "Nari-ah, there's a red box behind you. Can you pass me it, please?"
Me, being professional in this situation, obeyed with no words spoken.
Turning around, I looked through some white boxes and soon enough found the rose in a field full of daisies.
The dark scarlet box stuck out like a sore thumb, so it wasn't long until I held it in my hands and carefully took the lid off.
It was filled with tubes of blood.
"What is this, Taehyung-ah?" I softly asked, looking at every single glass thing in there.
"You'll see, please give me one and be careful, jagiya" His eyes glinted with playfulness for a second.
When I handed him one of the unknown filled blood tubes, he instantly started injecting it into the boy's fragile body.
I just watched with wide eyes as his bruises and scalpel-cut skin started healing in my sight, looking like nothing ever happened as the skin became even smoother than before.
Every single cut slowly morphed together as if nothing ever happened.
"I use vampire blood to heal those who have small chances of survival. My rule is to never let anyone die in this hospital, got that?" He sighed and started cleaning everything up.
Saying that I was so confused would be an understatement.
"Vampire blood can heal people? That's too good to be true, Taehyung" I crossed my arms and looked at the man who was not bothered by anything in the world.
But it was beautiful in an odd way.
He sacrifices his own blood, his own DNA to save normal people's lives without hesitation. This is what true doctors should do, even though this would count as cheating on human life.
He was truly an angel in devil's disguise in my eyes.
"Nari-ah, he's going to be okay. We just have to take good care of him. I have a meeting to attend, will you finish up for me?" He smiled while taking his surgery clothes off.
I only nodded and looked at the man, slowly fluttering his eyelids open and regaining concious.
"Hello again, Park Jimin-sshi."

"Mom, I'm fine. In fact, I'm doing much better, just needed some rest and stuff" I reassured my worried mom while she was examining my face, looking for any sign of mood, but failed.
She only sighed in relief, "that's good. Take care of yourself, okay? Don't make me worry so much, I have enough wrinkles to deal with" she complained with a few giggles.
After Taehyung left that night, my anxiety seemed to vanish into thin air.
He brought a new atmosphere into my small apartment, a vibe of home.
