NARI

Running through wet leaves, I ran as fast as my short legs could.

The sky was at it's darkest, only the stars and the moon kept me company.

But I didn't need company, I needed help.

"Jebal.. leave me alone!" I yelled as I wiped my tears. The blurry vision didn't help at all.

I could feel his presence behind me. He's a monster.

He wants to hurt me, or worse.

"Help! Someone help!" I cried, knowing the fact that no one's gonna hear me.

If there were people, they wouldn't help. Otherwise, he would kill them too. They drowned in their own fear.

The sounds of myself breaking the sticks beneath my feet creeped me out even more. They were so loud.

Wiping my eyes again, a black figure appeared in front of me. Was it him or someone else?

I accidentally bumped into the shadow, but he didn't even budge.

"Please don't hurt me..." I cried out.

I couldn't see his face.

Turning around, the sight of no one there relieved me. But the fact that it's probably him in front of me scared the living crap out of me.

Slowly turning around, I saw...

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

The sound of my old alarm spread across my room, instantly waking me up.

"Ugh.." I sat up, furiously rubbing my eyes. It's time to wake up.

I sleepily reached my arm out to turn off that damn alarm.

Why now?

I could've found out what's been haunting my dreams ever since I was only a child.

Rewinding the dream I just had in my head, I shivered in fear. It was different, more scary. It felt like I was really close to reach the end.

Hopping out of my bed, I smiled when at the thought that it's my graduation day today.

I'm so ready for school to end.

Driving in my old car that I purchased out of my own damn money, I finally reached my destination.

Seoul's Medical University, here I come!

The weather was really nice, one of the best days this spring.

Opening the door, I was greeted with my friend Areum. She's been my friend ever since I started being a student here, but she graduated last year.

"Nari-ah! Congratulations!" She smiled brightly, wrapping her arms around me.

I hugged her back, even though skinship wasn't really my thing. "Areum unnie, thanks so much for coming!"
