Dan turned in the direction of his house and started walking. He didn't glance back at Phil or offer to help him with his bike. He thought taking on the favor was enough for tonight. "The gate closes after the sensor is tripped. You got a few seconds to wheel your bike in or you'll be sleeping on the sidewalk." Phil just rolled his eyes at the comment, but pushed forward. It was a short walk, but the silence seemed to stretch out the walk longer than it really is. Once they got to the house, Phil parked his bike underneath a tree. Dan said to park it anywhere because he couldn't be bothered to open the garage. Dan was already in the house when Phil was coming up the steps that lead to the door. He looked around the lounge and further ahead into the living room. It was exactly the same as he remembered except there was a pair of shoes that were too big to be Dan's and an ashtray almost over filling with ash and cigarette buds. He wondered who Dan had let into his home. He didn't seem like the type of guy to have much company. That's why a sense of pride had grown in Phil, because Dan agreed to let him stay over. At the moment though, seeing as someone else had made themselves a home here, made it not so pride worthy.
He kicked his shoes off and walked into the living room. He sat down on the couch and propped his feet up on the coffee table and stretched his arms high above his head. Once his body relaxed he looked around the room to find Dan. The curly haired boy was a few feet behind the couch, fidgeting with the helmet that was still latched onto his head. Dan groaned and threw his hands in the air, expressing the fact the he has given up. He looked up and met Phil's eyes. Seconds passed and Dan could feel the tension growing, "What?" Phil chuckled and shook his head, "You need help taking it off too?" Phil pushed himself up off the couch and walked to Dan. "I'll take it off if you say please." Phil was going to throw in a crude comment about how the helmet won't be the only thing he's willing to take off, but decided against it. Dan probably wouldn't find it as amusing as he would. "I'm not saying please, get your fucking helmet off me before I take scissors to it." Dan didn't sound irritated, but it'd be best to not push his luck. That helmet was expensive. "No! Fine I'll help, but using your manners wouldn't kill you." Dan gasped, before he burst into laughter, "Manners? What do you know about manners? One of your shoes is halfway across the living room floor and you just had your feet on the coffee table. I don't even do that!" Phil smiled, "Okay, okay. You win. Now stay still so I can undo the straps." Phil pulled the strap through the loops and wiggled the helmet off. Dan's curls sprung free and looked as if they had doubled in volume. Phil mumbled something about how it was cute, not expecting Dan to hear. "Shut up. It's not cute." Phil raised an eyebrow, "I believe it is." Dan turned pink and turned away from Phil, "Nevermind, I'm going to go take a quick shower."
Dan walked through a hallway that was occupied with many doors. Most that led to a few spare bedrooms, including his own. He entered his room and and prepared to get in the shower. He said it was going to be quick, but his definition was a little different than others.
Phil had watched as Dan left, and waited to hear a door close before he moved from the spot he was standing in. He looked down at his helmet and turned it around in his hands. Maybe he should get another one? He looked in the direction Dan walked again. He hummed before setting the helmet down on a table that was close by. He walked back to the couch and took a seat. The cushions seemed as if they were trying to swallow him up. It made him realize how exhausted he really was. He would have fallen asleep if the ringing of a phone didn't grab his attention. He patted around for the phone until he found it. It wasn't his phone so it must've been Dan's. He looked at the caller ID that had popped up on the screen. The name read "Daddy". Phil furrowed his eyebrows, Dan was still calling his dad 'daddy'? Phil was pretty sure that he stopped calling his father 'daddy' at a very young age, maybe six or seven. He set it down, letting the ringing settle on it's own. He would tell Dan that somebody had tried calling him when he gets out of the shower. At least, that's what he was going to do until the same number called again.
Phil swiped the screen to answer the call, "h-," Phil was cut off by the voice on the other end, "Hey baby, I'm so horny. Wh-" Phil's eyes widened and ended the call immediately. Phil bit his lip, so it was that type of "daddy". He really shouldn't have answered the call. He just hung up on Dan's booty call. The phone sounded again, Phil decided that he would answer again and explain that it wasn't Dan who hung up. "What's the problem, I thought you liked phone sex," the voice sounded irritated, "Dan, hello?" Phil sighed and put the phone closer to his face, "Hey, um, Dan's in the shower right-" The voice sounded even more irritated than before, "Who the fuck is this? Why are you with Dan? What's going on?" This man had way too many questions, so Phil was relieved when the phone died, causing the call to end. Just in time too, because Dan walked into the living room. Phil threw the phone to the side and leaned his head back to act as if he was asleep. "Hey Phil," Dan gently shook Phil's shoulder, "Let me show you your room for tonight." Phil slowly opened his eyes and feigned a yawn. He was really trying to sell the whole 'I was sleeping' act. Dan took a step back once Phil was "awake". Phil reached his hand out and Dan took it and pulled him off the couch. Dan quickly took his hand away. Dan walked down that hall again and led Phil to the first bedroom that was across from his own. He opened up the door to it and let Phil walk through first. "There are some extra blankets in there," Dan said, gesturing towards the closet. Phil nodded a thanks, "Goodnight, Dan," Dan nodded the same as Phil had, "Goodnight."
