Wanda in IW 2017 Prediction

This is from my Bucky/Avengers/Stucky blog on tumblr @ bucky-barnes-of-the-107th . An older drable of something I really wanted to happen but as always this did not occur in the film so this has no spoilers okay. Also I know this chapter is more Wanda-centric but Bucky does have a role in this so toodles.

"okay but what I really wanna see in infinity war is someone takes Wanda's powers away and they start cackling (because everyone fucking says Wanda is shit without her powers) but then she flips back up into a fight stance and her opponent looks horrified and starts swinging, she starts fighting back because holy shit she's been trained in hand to hand combat just like any other avenger should their main weapon get taken from them wow isn't that a thought

also Clint standing somewhere off, clapping wildly and tears of joy springing from his face"

"i wanted to update this because so many people liked it and i really liked some of the ideas ya'll shared. fair warning, word count is 1,905 words. so here we go, some updates:

- canonically Steve trains her in hand to hand combat so I like to think Steve really struggled to teach Wanda because to him she really is just a kid so he teaches her basics, disarm the opponent, knock them out, get out of a tight squeeze etc but he doesn't want to teach her how to use weapons outside of the standard handgun.. this is where Dad™ Clint comes in like ↴

"Steve, at some point she's gotta know how to throw knives or assemble a sniper even! You're being completely unfair!" and Bucky totally backs up Clint yeah, "Yeah Steve, you can't seriously expect her to always rely on her powers c'mon."

+ Wanda hearing this entire argument and smiling to herself because her teammates are supporting her fighting wow

point is Clint teaches her to shoot arrows and throw knives, Bucky teaches her how to fight with knives (as he does frequently) and assemble many many many guns, Natasha is eventually brought into the equation to teach Wanda how to fight with her body (ex: death by thighs™) and how to conceal weapons in different situations

+ it takes Wanda many tries but she works up the courage to try to take down Nat with her signature move and it's completely unexpected and when Nat taps out Wanda sits up with her arms shot up and she says "Yay!" and Thor claps excitedly from the other side of the training room repeating, "Yaaaayy!!"

- Clint and Wanda go on an undercover solo mission BEFORE the Scarlet Witch is a known Avenger so she can't use her powers just yet

they go as father and daughter to a fancy galla event where their target is mocking and trying to feel Wanda up because their a creep and Clint is across the room and won't make it to Wanda without being made and then thing get worse the creep is following Wanda away (every dad's fear) so he politely excuses himself and chases after them and the creep puts a hand on Wanda's hip and sHE TAKES HIM OUT WITH HER BARE HANDS

+ afterward, she's still got a grip on the target's arm and she just looks at Clint and says, "So I found our target."

+ Clint asks her if she's okay, they hug and as Clint helps drag the unconscious creep he starts crying; "What what's wrong? Is it tear gas? What what-" "No no I'm just so crazy proud of you right now"

+ also after Wanda takes out the target, she fixes her dress and puts her heel that flew off back on like nothing happened

OH I ALMOST FORGOT

+ Steve watching all this go down from Clint's body cam footage when they get home and also crying and clapping wildly and jumping up and down with Clint (Steve shows it to Bucky and Nat watch it later and they all start bawling, sobbing "They grow up so fast!!")
