Highes...
My Dad used to work at a police station before he passed away. He brought guns home, and all varieties of them. Nevertheless, the only gun that I have seen my Dad use was the Glock 19 Pistol. I've wanted to try it out, play around with it, yet, I could never get close to one of them. It would be my dream. But perceiving one of my classmates, clenching one in their bare hands, doesn't make me comfortable at all.
Why? Of all people, him? I gaze at the gun, then back at him. He stops shifting around, and just sits there. Then he brings his head up and turns it to the door. I shift myself, move away, and squint my eyes, tightly shut.
"Please don't come here, please don't come here, please don't come here," I say loudly to myself. I hear footsteps, getting louder, and louder towards the door. Until the door knob jiggles, and finally swings open.
"Fuck-," I blurt out. I peek the corner and see his feet, legs, and his face, staring down at me. His green eyes, shimmering in the sun's reflection, intimidates me. So bright.
"Hm?" He gazes down at my face, and squints. I notice in his left hand, he's holding one of his pistols. I got to go now or it's to late.
I fling myself on top of him, clench his left arm, and try to take away the pistol before he kills anyone, or even if he killed anybody, yet.
"Let go!" I holler at him, and clench both of his wrists. He's strong, I'm weak, I have no strength. He twists his wrists, grabs mine, and flips me over onto the ground. I look up and see him, holding the pistol, right infront of my face.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" He points his gun closer to my head.
"I was about to ask you the same question." I sigh, and make up an excuse, realizing he won't fall for it.
"I don't know what your talking about," I smile, while snickering.
"Your tricking me. You think I didn't see you peeking around the corner? Following me all the way over here, viewing in the window, finding out I had a gun?," He laughs and becomes crucial, "Smart." I glare at him, my eyes looking left and right, locked on both his eyes. His hair is fallen over his left eye, but I catch a glimpse at what he's staring at. My necklace. I pull up my sweatshirt, and repeat what I said in the beginning.
"Who are you, and what do you want from me?" I say in a consequential tone.
"Not until you tell me yourself first," He looks down at my lips, then back up at me.
"I'm not the attention right now, and I'm none of your business. I'm the one asking the questions, and I want you to tell me, now."
"Huh." He gets up from above me, and starts walking around, left, to right.
"Well?" I pace around, taking tiny steps, baby steps.
"The names Alex, Alex Danver,"He's acting way too normal, considering I just caught him with an assault weapon, "And who might you be? You know, so I don't call you the girl who attacked me." His eyes glimmer at me. I scoul and sigh.
I am none of your business, as I said before. Now, tell me about the gun."
"First, can you trust me on a little secret?"
