I awoke to the whispers from my dream lingering in the air. I was breathing hard, it seemed if though I surrounded until Natsu came barging in burning whatever the hell those creatures to the ground. It seemed so real, yet I knew it couldn't be Natsu had barely spoken a sentence to me in months, he and the rest of the guild had been ignoring me, well except for Wendy. That girl was my saving grace, keeping me from falling down and not rising again.
I got up, showered and dressed quickly getting ready for my day at the guild. As I walked down the streets of Magnolia the fisherman yelled there daily warning of not falling in. I smiled, at least Magnolia wasn't ignoring me for good. As I reached the guild I hesitated, something was really off, I ignored my instincts and entered the hall. As normal not a single person looked in my direction and Team Natsu was out on another request. I went and sat in the corner farthest from the mass of Fairy Tails population. I looked up and saw Wendy running towards me waking a sheet of paper in the air, a smile on her face.
" I found us a request that can cover your rent for the month," she yelled across the guild hall, people turned towards her whispering until Wakaba yelled out,
" I wouldn't go on a mission with her Wendy, she's weak, pathetic and useless. You will only get killed," Murmurs of agreement ran through the grounds. My vision blurred as the tears started streaming down my face. I stood up and walked towards Wendy.
" They're right, I can't protect you and you'll only get hurt," I told her.
She looked up at me sadly and hugged me and whispered that it shouldn't be this way. I smiled sadly.
The doors burst open, Team Natsu was home. Natsu looked as if he could kill, his eyes scanned the guild before landing on me, he stopped looking. Natsu slowly made his way to me, his eyes only showing more hatred. I couldn't look, I had once loved him, I still do. I don't know what had changed, once Lisanna came back, he first became distant, then started taking her on missions without me and eventually I became no one to him. The fact that he was acknowledging my existence filled my stomach with butterflies, no matter how terrifying he looked.
Natsu stopped walking when he reached me. Flames had started to circle his hands, his eyes glowing like a flame with anger. He picked me up and slammed me against the wall, his first steaming towards my face. I closed my eyes and prepared for the impact.
