Lucy POV

"Mum," I said. Tears started to well in my eyes.

"Yes, my Little Star," Said my mother.

"No, it can't be you. You died years ago," I said stepping back. The lady stood up and started to walk towards me.

"Lucy, when I was young I discovered a dying dragon in the woods. I tried to help her, but I failed and when I saw her die I was taken here and crowned queen. For some reason the previous queen chose me. I couldn't have both a family and be queen so I faked my death, I knew you needed me bit the dragons needed me more. One day I knew I would find you and see you again," she explained.

My mother, Layla Heartfilia, was alive and she was walking closer towards me. She stopped when she was an arm's length away from me. I ran into her arms, embracing her tightly. With tears started streaming down my face.

"Mum, you're alive, your okay. I love you mum," I choked out.

"I love you to little star," she replied. We continued to embrace for what felt like hours and I realized something, I was happy?

Yes, I was. I was happy and felt on top of the world like I could do anything.

"As much as I hate to break up this reunion, the palace is being attacked Your Highness, we need to get you and the princess to your rooms Now," Said the guard from earlier suddenly. Mum's arms dropped from my quickly and a wave of coolness flooded over me.

"Go Lucy, trust Ash and follow him," My mother said in a rush, she grabbed my hand one last time before running off towards the door we entered. So the guard's name was Ash, cute name.

No, Bad Lucy. No cute boys or cute names again.

Ash grabbed my hand and began dragging me east towards a set of doors hidden in the corner. As he pulled to door open he looked at me, his uniform covered his face and slightly muffled his words as he spoke.

"This leads to a hidden passage, just keep running turn on your second left and take the stairs. There will be a door and that is your room. I'll follow you, Do Not Look Back,"

I nodded and ran. I was trying to do as Ash said and not look back, but soon I heard footsteps and began to run faster not sure if they were Ash's of an enemy. This had me thinking who was attacking the palace and was my mother going to be okay. I just got her back, I don't know what I'd do if I lost her. I missed Wendy. She would know what to do. She would tell me to keep running and to live. Soon enough I came across the staircase and ran up it swiftly trying not to fall. I stopped when I reached the door. I was panting, I couldn't breathe.

I opened the door quickly and moved in swiftly, shutting the door behind me, but not before forgetting to lock it and I looked up. I breathed in loudly. The room was beautiful. It was about twice the size of my apartment. To the left was a giant wardrobe and on the opposite side of the room was a huge princess style bed with a door next to it, leading to what I guessed was a balcony. Next to me was another door and when I opened it. I was again speechless. In front of me was the largest ,most beautiful bathroom, I had ever seen. After looking around the room, I discover that the wardrobe was filled and the bed was as soft as cotton candy. I got a sudden idea. I sprinted towards the bed and dived onto it. I underestimated it, within seconds I was asleep.
