This chapter is currently written in the present tense, This will be changed to past tense to line up with the rest of the book as I prefer that style. Sorry for the inconvenience! The writing will become better in chapter 5.

"We are here..." Kenma says softly. It is almost like he is whispering the words. "WOWWW! Your house is so cool Kenma!" Shoyo gently takes his shoes off and places them next to the door after Kenma.
"Where can I leave my bag?" He then asks. "U-Uhm, I guess we can put it in my room?" Kenma doesn't understand why he is so shy all of a sudden, nothing had changed compared to before.
"I still meant to ask you this Shoyo, but are you okay with sleeping in my room with me?" Kenma stares down at the floor, his voice getting softer and softer.
"OF COURSE!" Shoyo shouts, maybe a little too enthusiastic. "I mean, we could play video games and talk all night long! It will be so much fun!"
Kenma can't hide his smile when he notices that his friend doesn't make a problem out of it and even genuinely seems excited about the whole sleepover. "Y-yea, it will be fun."
Shoyo quietly puts his backpack in Kenma's room. "Your room is really big, do you know that?" the little redhead then asks the older boy. "Yeah, I am lucky to live in such a big house."
Kenma swallows one more time before he looks Shoyo in the eyes. "Hey uhm Shoyo, do you maybe want to go to the city center?" The redhead's face seems to lighten up remarkably quickly.
"Could we?" His face gets really close to Kenma's all of a sudden and the boy seems taken aback. "Hmm yes, maybe we could even go to the arcade after dinner?" Kenma offers.
The boy with the dyed hair didn't think it was possible, but the smile on the redhead's face seemed to grow even bigger. "Like? Are you serious?! Of course, I want to go to the arcade with you!"
The two boys jumped on the first bus towards the city center soon after their conversation. At first, they decided to go and drink something, Kenma knew of a fun cafe he visited with Kuroo not too long ago, it was relatively small but it had a very calm and quiet atmosphere, the staff was very friendly too.
"I want ice tea!" The Redhead excitedly tells the waitress. "Oh wait, I want it without sparkles because they tickle and will make me laugh and spit out my dr-" "I will have a glass of... Water" Kenma quietly interrupts the younger boy.
"Alright, I will bring it to you soon, " the waitress tells them as she takes off to the bar.
"Everything is so much bigger and cooler here!" Hinata exclaims as he looks around with big eyes. The statement was ironic as Kenma liked this cafe especially for its smaller size and the fact that it was never busy.
Kenma tried to hide his smile, but once again, he couldn't. The behavior of the little redhead, it was a kind of... Cute? Kenma's face turns red all of a sudden and he hides his face in his hands.
Not understanding this sudden feeling, he looks down at his legs, in an attempt to hide his face and avoid making eye contact with his friend.
"I-I have to go to the bathroom for a s-sec, I will be right back Shoyo..." Kenma rushes off, leaving Hinata confused.
Once Kenma arrives in the bathroom, the first thing he does is throw some water in his face. Trying to get it's color back to normal, looking back at his own face Kenma is very surprised by how flustered he looks. The feeling that ran through his body made him feel like he had done something he shouldn't. It was comparable to some type of adrenaline the boy with dyed hair had never felt while playing volleyball.
If you asked him what was wrong, he wouldn't answer. Not just because he is the shy and awkward person that he is, but mainly because he genuinely doesn't know what he is feeling at this moment and how it could be explained.
He takes a second good look in the mirror and sees that his face didn't change back to its original color yet.
What in the world is going on with him?
