The moment Hinata set foot into the bus, he felt himself needing to break down again. When was the first-year going to see Kenma again, now that the training camp was over? Of course, the redhead knew that Kenma had promised to text and call him and they would meet up when they got the chance, but still. Leaving Kenma like this just felt bitter.

"Let's sit in the back," Kageyama spoke up as he put his hand on Hinata's shoulder. Using his other hand, the setter pointed at the seats in the total back of the bus. All their other teammates sat more to the front, so it seemed like Hinata would get some sense of privacy if he were to sit in the back with Kageyama.

"Yeah, sure," Hinata mumbled as he made his way to the back of the bus, followed by Kageyama. Both teens let themselves fall into their seats, the redhead purposely picked the window seat, where he would have a good last view of the second-year. Shoyo was able to catch Kenma fiddling with the sleeves of his hoodie as he looked at the bus. It seemed like the setter was thinking about something as his eyes seemed dreamy and he didn't look directly at Hinata.

Hinata's nostrils were filled with the smell of bus; which was a scent composed of the fusty smell of its seats, combined with a whiff of detergent and diesel. Normally, this smell would make Hinata somewhat excited. Usually, this odor meant that the teen would be going somewhere else, like a school trip, but right now the exact opposite was about to happen. The redhead was seriously bummed about having to go home already.

Not too long after Hinata sat down, the first-year heard the engine of the bus start up and the first-year was met with the vibrations of the bus. It seemed like their driver was ready to go now.

As the vehicle slowly started driving, Hinata didn't want to think about the fact that every meter this bus would drive, would be a meter further away from Kenma. Every second closer to home would be a second further removed from Kenma. Those thoughts made the redhead feel empty, it was almost as if his heart broke without the second-year doing anything to hurt him. Did Kenma feel the same way?

Hinata frantically waved at the sight of the Nekoma's setter until the bus took a turn and Shinzen High School was no longer able to be seen.

The teen let himself sink deeper into his chair and just stared at the empty seat that was in front of him. Hinata was sulking and didn't care to hide it. The redhead wanted to cry and vent his frustrations, but right now didn't seem like the best time and place to do that.

"You look down," Kageyama spoke up, not looking up from his phone as he addressed Hinata.

"Yeah," the redhead softly agreed as he searched his back pockets for his smartphone as well as his earplugs, which luckily for him, were attached to the device already. "I think I need to get some rest first, let's talk later," Hinata spoke up.

"Ah, of course, take your time," Kageyama replied.

Without waiting for another response, Hinata put his earplugs in and started to blast music louder than his phone recommended. The first-year didn't necessarily want to ruin his ears, he just didn't want to interact with anyone right now and by turning the volume of his music up, Hinata closed himself off to the rest of his teammates. With that, the teen once again put his phone back in his pocket as he closed his eyes and rested his head against the window, pretending to sleep. Though, in reality, Hinata wasn't tired at all, he just needed a moment to himself.

Would it be too early to text Kenma now? It had almost been an hour since Karasuno's team had left Shinzen and well, Kenma.

Finally, Shoyo had gotten tired of the music that was so loud, it felt like the sound made his brain vibrate. Kageyama took notice of Hinata taking his earplugs out and copied the redhead's action.
