We stood still in the middle of 2nd floor hallway, right in between the guest room and Katsuki's room. We were facing each other, hands still interlocking. Our eyes could only steal glances at each other; it was dark so I was probably imagining the red color on the ill-mannered boy but I was sure that his scarlet pupils gazed me differently than before. We were both reluctant to let go, though we knew we must. We can't just stand there holding hands till morning.
So very slowly, our hands slipping from each other, and finally after the last finger unhooked we began to gain our voices. "We should sleep," I whispered to him, gradually turned to face my room. Katsuki just stood there frowning, gazing at me with unknown intention. "I'll see you in the morning...I guess," I said as I opened the door to the guest room.
I gave the statuesque boy a last look. Gulping my saliva. And slipped into the door gap. "Good night," I wished him before finally closing the door. I turned and leaned my back against the door, slipping down the floor as I was letting out a long halted exhale. I kept swallowing my spit. My face was unbearably hot that it made my mind fuzzy. And my heart pumping adrenaline that it was impossible for me to get any sleep.
I could faintly hear Katsuki's door being opened and then closed. I huffed upward.
Now, what should I do? I asked myself stupidly.
I sat on the bed and then laid myself down, trying to get the hang of sleeping. Then I remembered how Katsuki held my hand earlier, how his skin was so close to me, how his warmth melted me... and sleep was now impossible.
I sat right up again. Looking up, to the left and right to find a clock, completely forgot that I had one on my phone, so I picked them from my bag.
6 missed calls? Dammit!! I opened it and it was all from my aunt in Sapporo. She also chatted me via Lone, spammed me with hundreds of worried stickers and asking how I was doing. I smiled. It was late but I replied her anyway. 'I'm fine. I'm at a friend's house'
Friends?
Do friends hold hands and blushing red from it?
The thought of it sent another butterfly in my stomach. Oh, time! I almost forgot. It was exactly 2:30 AM. Sighed~~ I shut my eyes, frustrated. How am I supposed to wake up early now?
knock knock
I jumped. Blinking, I stared at the door for a moment. Knock knock! Another knock heard, now a little bit louder than before. I stood up, got closer to the door and placed my ears on it.
"Mana..." I heard a whispering voice calling me. When I opened the door stood a tall boy with a difficult face staring at me. "Why aren't you sleeping, damn it?" he asked but his regular coarse voice never sounded sweeter. I blinked out of confusion.
Katsuki then harshly grabbed my wrist. "Come with me," he ordered as he yanked me out of my room. I gaped but I didn't have the strength to fight him. He took me to his room and closed the door behind me.
I swallowed. My breath fastened, irregular. When I looked into the same dark room, I noticed something was different. The floor table had been moved to the corner and replaced by a blue blanketed futon. Katsuki's violent eyes mellowed as he looked at me, "sleep here with me."
A crazy teenage proposal.
I was sure he didn't mean 'sleep together', but still the idea was absurd.
