A Flashback of The Future

I hadn't talked to Katsuki for about 3 weeks now. Without calculating the separation advice, the first week was because we both had been so busy with our internship: he was busy doing hero business with the number 4 hero, Best Jeanist and I was busy doing marketing on a local hero agency. Not once that we chat on Lone, neither did we called each other.

At the mid of the first week, I came to Katsuki's house to return the lunch box that they lend me. Katsuki, of course, wasn't there. I told Mitsuki-san and father about everything that happened at school that day. How I discovered that apparently I had an uncontrolled Quirk and Katsuki was hurt because of it. To my shock, Mitsuki-san didn't banish me for it, instead, she hugged me. "That's great that you discovered your Quirk," she gently congratulated me. Katsuki's father patted my head. "Don't be discourage," he said, cheering me. I unconsciously gave Mitsuki-san my warmest hug back. A feeling so foreign as if I was inside the embrace of my own mother and father.

The second week was because we were busy preparing for finals. Tsu-chan and Ochako-chan never once forgetting to accompany me despite the distance of our class. We almost always ate lunch together. We seldom went home separately; either the three of us or at least one of them always accompanied me. Sometimes Midoriya and Iida came along. Midoriya even troubled himself to take me up to my workplace in a convenience store near my apartment. He felt like 'Kacchan' would've asked him to. Since we shared the same train, Midoriya and I met Katsuki sometimes on our way to school and home. Not rarely our eyes even met, but he would clicked his tonyue and we would lower our sight immediately.

Our relationship suddenly became awkward... It was speeding too fast then crashed into the Separation Advice. I was wondering... if he had hated me then.

The third week was finals week. It was obviously the hardest week to meet everyone, even Tsu-chan, Ochako-chan and Midoriya decided to leave early every single day. They apologized deeply to me but I was totally fine with it, "Guys, don't apologize. I understand. I too have to study," I said to them and halfheartedly, we walked our separate ways.

'

That day was the final day of the written test. Midoriya once again chaperoned me to my workplace even though I told him he didn't have to do that. "It was my fault that you had to be in a separation with Kacchan in the first place, so this is the least I could do. I know you probably wanted Kacchan to keep you company but--"

"That's quite alright Midoriya. I appreciate your concern but I don't think Katsuki wanted to do anything with me anymore," I cut him, feeling somehow disheartened everytime Katsuki's name popped within the talk. "That's not true!!" Midoriya jumped to the front of me, shouting. It took me aback. "How do you know?" I barked, sounded disbelief but I regretted it immediately because deep down there was me wanting to believe in his words.

Midoriya appeared to be lost in words. He kept on spouting parts but didn't exactly made any point. "I just know! Kacchan is not like that," he finally said.

I heaved with a small smile. Midoriya kept his eyes locked on me, "Do you want to give up on Kacchan?" He then asked upon witnessing my reaction, sounding very disheartened by the thought.

I swallowed, smiled and sighed through my nose. Midoriya then fell deeply silent. Not a single word from him anymore until we parted goodbyes as we arrived at my workplace.
