Ch.6 The Dark Forgiveness

I knew Jughead was at my door; he had been knocking and calling my name for a few minutes.

Sweet Pea had dropped me home a few hours ago after going to Pops.

"Fuego, please open up! I'm sorry!"

I had enough and I was starting to get a headache.

"What do you want Jughead?" I said while opening the door just enough to look out. I saw the hurt on his face when I didn't call him Juggie. I only called him by his long name when I'm mad at him.

"Before you shut the door, just listen."

He proceeded while I widened the door some more.

"Toni told me why you were upset with me. I'm so sorry Fuego, I didn't know and I shouldn't of been so-"

I interrupted.

"Juggie, I know you didn't mean to upset me. Its just, I haven't gotten used to shouting or angered people without having some mark on me afterwards."

He was about to say something, but I cut him off.

"I know you get stressed and especially that I'm back, you don't want anything to happen to me but Juggie, you have to let me be free to do shit. If I wanna skip school and hang out with my friends occasionally, you have to let me, or other shit Jug, I'm me and you can't stop that.

They didn't just call me Fuego because of what happened in the Wyrm and you know it. They called me Fuego because fire is supposed to be free and I need to be free. I can't have water over me or I'll darken and die out."
