You are awoken by the most dreaded sound of the day- your alarm! It was 6:30am and today was the day you finally got to travel to America. Suddenly, your roommate and best friend, Lily, bursts into your room.
Lily: "OMG!! Y/N WE'RE GOING TO LA TODAY"
You both scream with excitement and start dancing around your bedroom.
You have to leave for the airport at 10:00am which gives you 3 and a half hours to get ready. Lily turns on her Spotify playlist and connects it to the speaker. The music was turned up to almost full blast; both of you are jamming out to the music whilst getting ready. You decide to wear a white cropped top with black jeans, adidas superstars and a denim jacket. Your hair was styled into loose curls.

You finished up packing by adding your makeup and hair products. It was almost 10:00am when you both had finished.
Y/n: "Lily are you ready to leave?" Lily: "I was born ready!" You both burst out laughing at her cringey reply. You quickly grab your bags and suitcases and head out of your apartment door. The airport was only half an hour away so you said you would drive there.
Before you set off, you snapped a few selfies with your bestie to post onto both of your instagrams.
The car journey was filled with you both dancing to songs and talking about how amazing the trip was going to be. When you finally arrive at the airport it was 10:30am and your flight was at 11:45am. You get checked in and drop your suitcases off. Lily: "Y/n we should go get some food to pass the time!?" Y/n: "Yeah sounds good!" Both of you decided to eat at the airport restaurant and order a full English breakfast. Once you had finished, you went to the shop and bought drinks and snacks for your long flight ahead.
It's 11:30am and your flight number and gate get called out. You and Lily look at each other with excitement. Y/n: "This is finally happening!" Lily: "Arghh I can't wait y/n!" The two of you quickly head to the gate number and show the attendant your boarding passes. Attendant: "I'm really sorry, there appears to be a slight mistake with your seat number. We may have to change your seats."
You and Lily look at each other with disappointment but tell the attendant it's fine. The woman changes the seat numbers and prints a new pass off. Both of you say thanks and head over to the plane. Lily realises that your seats are completely separated and are at opposite ends of the plane. This upsets you but there's nothing you can do. Before taking your seats, you say goodbye to each other and end with a hug.
You sit down in your seat after saying bye to your bestie. Many thoughts are going through your head about who will sit next to you but you plug your headphones in, turned on some music and looked out of the window. Someone tapped on your shoulder and you turned around. You couldn't believe your eyes to what you saw!
