Ella's POV ~~~
I woke up... on the couch? Oh. Maybe Daniel was tired? Maybe the boys weren't home yet? I walked upstairs and checked our room, no.. he was there. He usually would take me upstairs.. I wasn't mad, just... confused. I let the boys sleep and walked downstairs and sat on the couch on my phone.
About an hour later, I found myself staring at the wall blankly. I walked upstairs and found Daniel awake sitting on the bed.
"Hey!" I smiled and sat next to him.
Instead of replying he just put his head in his hands.
"Is everything okay..?" I asked as I put my arm around him.
Daniel quickly shook me off and then looked up at me with tears in his eyes.
"Daniel..." I wrapped my arms around him whilst he shook his head.
"Ella... listen..." He said as he once again wriggled out of my grip and puts his hands on my shoulders.
"I'm listening.." I said slightly concerned.
"You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me. You are beautiful, smart funny and an all round great girl. Your talents are amazing and it always baffles me how you find a way to be happy in the darkest of times....I never want to hurt you.."
I looked at him. "Daniel..what's wrong?"
He looked down. "This can't work Ella. I'm sorry.."
"Oh..." I held back my tears as best I could. "I don't understand..."
"Neither do I Ella... I'm sorry..."
"So... So we're broken up..?" I said as I let the tears build up my eyes.
He just nodded.
