Gerard's POV

I am woken up by the sound of a soft, angelic voice. "Geebear, its time to get up. The camp directors are calling us all out for a special announcement." I groan from being woken up. I hate being woken up, but for some reason Frank is an exception. "Ugh, five more minutes please?" "You're gonna have to get up at some point." "Fine let's go." Reluctantly, I leave the comfort of Frank's warm arms and walk out into the summer morning. Pete speaks up after walking in silence. "Hey Gerard, do you realize that your top bunk is pointless because you rarely sleep in it anymore?" I blush profusely and turn the other way, looking into the sunrise. Frank wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close. "Leave him be, he's my teddy bear." Pete and Brendon give each other a knowing look and burst into laughter. I turn even more red and start to protest when I'm interrupted by a camp director. "Okay guys, as you all know tomorrow marks your third week here. Since that is our halfway point from you guys going back home we will light a campfire and make s'mores as you all tell stories or whatever you do for fun. If you would like to go somewhere else, stay inside the camping site. You will be required to have at least one other companion with you and you will be given walkie talkies to communicate with us from wherever you are." I look at Frank, giving him a look that asked 'would you be my companion?' He nodded in response. "Today we will give you the day off. You may sleep in, go eat, or play with what we have for you. Any questions?" Everyone had smiles on their faces as they shook their head no. "Then you all are dismissed." Immediately everyone burst into conversation as they went their separate ways to do who knows what. I, on their other hand, knew exactly what I was gonna do. Go eat breakfast and then sleep for at least 12 hours. (relatable) Without a second glance at my friends, I race off to the food cabin. I hear Frank, Pete, and Brendon running after me, Brendon asking "Since when do you run?" I burst in through the doors, eager to see what they're serving. Today it's apparently bacon, eggs, and a biscuit on the side. Quickly, I get in line since it's starting to get packed, Frank, Pete, and Brendon on my heels. After I grab my food, I go and sit at our usual table. Frank sits next to me while Pete and Brendon sit across from us. They all seem out of breath when I didn't even break a sweat. They look at me in wonder. "How are you not out of breath?!" Pete asks in shock. I shrug in response. "I tend to run for food a lot so it's normal." Frank looks at me in awe. "Dude, you're awesome." I smirk at that reply. "Awww, one day you'll be as awesome as me, don't you worry Frankie." Brendon looks back and forth between us until he just shrugs and says "That's it. You guys better invite me to the wedding. Invite Pete too so we can embarrass both of you." I choked on my bacon. "What wedding? We're not even- You planned-" "Save it, we both ship you two together and our ships ALWAYS sail, one way or another." I look at Pete, questioning his sanity. "You ship us together as well? Really?" He just smirks and says "Maybe." I roll my eyes as I finish the last of my food. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm off to sleep in. Don't bother me for at least 12 hours. Peace out." I skip off, happy to finally go back to sleep. Once I enter the cabin, it's finally quiet. It's odd, considering the fact that nobody's there to make the place look alive. (sunshine) I crawl into my top bunk eager to sleep, but as soon as my head hits the pillow I can't sleep. It feels like something, no someone is missing. Frank. Nononono I refuse to get out of this bed. Of course, luck isn't on my side and I still can't sleep without my sudden cuddle buddy. So instead of getting up to go find Frank, I lie there in anger for a while. The door opens quietly, probably because they think I'm asleep. In walks in Frank. He shuts the door and his eyes land on me. "Hey Geebear. What are you doing up still?" he says softly. Embarrassed, I mutter "I just....couldn't sleep with you." I say the last part quieter, fearing what his reaction would be. His face breaks into a small, adorable smile. He climbs up the ladder to my bunk as I make room for him. He lies there next to me, not bothering to do much else. Hmph. I scoot myself closer to him, wanting to be wrapped in his arms. He chuckles quietly at me, but nonetheless envelops me in an embrace. I reach for one of his hands, playing with his fingers gently. My eyes start to get droopy and Frank just whispers "Go to sleep Geebear." I pout at him. "But I wanna stay awake with you." "You were the one who said you wanted to sleep for at least 12 hours, correct?" I give him a sleepy smile as I tiredly mumble "Shut up." "We've got a free day tomorrow so you can sleep all you want now. Doesn't that sound good to you?" I nod at him, my head somehow finding its way to lie on his chest. I listen to his heartbeat, finding it calming and lulling me off. I can't seem to fight sleep any longer, so I decided to rest my eyes, just for a bit. I hear a faint "I love you." before sleep consumes me.
