Gerard's P.O.V

I wake up the next morning feeling happy and refreshed, replaying last night's events in my head and saving it as a favorite memory. I get another happy thought as today is the campfire with roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, marking our third week here. And just on time, the camp directors shout "Rise and shine happy campers! Today's the day!" Everyone else in the cabin started to wake up, groggy, yet with a smile on their face. Soon we were all ready to head out for breakfast with a good mood. The food cabin was filled with campers by then, everyone quietly speaking due to having just woken up. We take our seats and hear others speak of the campfire that is to happen just as the sun starts to set. Brendon and Patrick are just as eager to talk about the main topic going around. "Are you guys excited for tonight?" Patrick asked with a light in his eyes (alright y'all see that reference) Brendon responds immediately, always happy when food is involved. "Of course! It's not everyday you get provided chocolate for free." Frank shot him a scrunched up face. "You do know those are for the s'mores right? We're not just gonna eat them by themself." Brendon gave him a sassy look back. "And what are they gonna do about it? Arrest me?" Laughter erupts from all of us as Frank gets out "I guess not." through gasps of air. Neighboring tables look over at us, still a bit in shock that the punk bad boy smiles, let alone laughs. Frank gives them all an icy glare to where they all turn back in their seats, acting as if they didn't see anything. Patrick leans over at me and whispers softly "Wow, you've really made him loosen up a bit more. He rarely smiled around us, yet can light up the world with the smile he has when he's with you." It filled me up with warmth that he could smile and be himself around me. The day passes fairly quickly after that and as if time sped itself up, sunset comes. By this point, we're all gathered by the pieces of wood that is to become our campfire for tonight. We watch as the sun slowly starts to fade away, finding peace at the sight. I lean my head against Frank's shoulder who is sat beside me, capturing the moment for as long as possible. Finally darkness starts to take over the sky and we're all broken out of a trance the sunset put us in. The camp directors have already brought out trays filled with graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. "I will assume that you all know how to make s'mores." Miss Nestor says to all of us. No objections from anyone come. "Good, then it's settled. You guys will be left to your own devices here as we trust you guys won't set yourself on fire." Giggles burst from everyone, including the camp directors. "Us camp directors will be in my cabin having a meetup of our own. It's not far from here so if anything were to happen we'll be close by." Nods come from all of us, with smiles after taking in this information. "Bye guys have fun!" With that, they walk away from us, chatting and laughing like old friends. I turn to Frank with a huge grin on my face. "I'm so glad my mom forced me to come here. This has been surprisingly the best time of my life." Frank, concentrated on his now roasting marshmallow, nods in agreement. After he makes his marshmallow a nice golden color he hands it to me. "Wait isn't this-" My sentence is cut short from Frank lifting me up and placing me on his lap. "Much better." he says as he hugs me from behind. Getting rid of my shock I say "I was going to say isn't this for you?" Frank shrugs and says "I'd rather have you instead." with an innocent smile on his face. A blush creeps onto my face as I take a nibble at the marshmallow now in my hands. "And just many people do you say that to?" I question with a bit of sass. "Only to the most beautiful person on earth which is most definitely you." Frank's voice is muffled into my back but I still understand what he said. "You're a dork you know that? I tease him playfully. Frank was about to respond to this until he changed his sentence midway and said "We should go to our tree! And take s'mores it'll be so much fun!" He has the most goofiest grin on his face, obviously proud of his idea, and I don't have the heart to say no. So of course we make a bunch of s'mores until we decide that's enough and head off. He still remembers the way to the tree as if he's visited it before and memorized it. Nah, he wouldn't. I shrug off the thought and fall into step with him until we reach what is now basically our spot. The rock we once lied on together invites us to come sit and talk about anything and everything. I look up into the night sky after finishing another s'mores. "I don't want this moment to end." I spoke up quietly at the sky. "Me neither." Frank spoke back. We ended up lying on the rock again as we did before, yet this time our hands find each other in the moonlight. It stays like this for a while, us just enjoying each other's presence. Then Frank decides cracks the silence. "Gee, what about school? Where are you gonna go? I can't- How am I supposed to go to school without you by my side?" He looks at me as if his world was shattering. "Well..." I take some time to think about all these questions he asked. "We could stay in contact over the weekends and during the summers." That makes his lips tug into a smile, but not big enough for my liking. "Or..." I pause for dramatic effect. "I could transfer to your school." Frank hugs me tightly as he screeches "Yes please! Can you? Can you really?" I take in his smile and his bow bright eyes. "I'll have to ask my mom but I'm sure she'd be fine with it." Frank releases me, just for a moment, and says "Thank you." I ask "For what?" because I really haven't done much. "For being you." I give him the tightest squeeze and look back up at the sky, now with something to cherish even more.

For the longest time I procrastinated making an update. Oopsies. I didn't even think I'd make this chapter but I did. Also I have no idea what a camp is like except "choir camp" which was basically us going back to our school so please excuse the way I write this. Anyways I'm happy to be back :)
