Starting Over

I decided to start over, I was gonna completely. I called my Dad and told him I wanna live with him for half the summer, so I made arrangements to drive out there.  My mom was pissed about it but honestly I didn't give two shits.  I know my Dad was excited about me coming, so I brought his guitar he gave me so we could play together.  I stopped at a gas station grabbed a few snacks and paid for gas. I was walking out when I ran into Dylan, I stumbled back and was about to fall. He caught me and said "Guess you fell for me huh"?   I immediately pushed him off and fell on the concrete.   "Why are you so jumpy today", he asks me but I ignored him.   "Just leave me alone".  He frowns "What's wrong"?  I look at him "You don't get to ask questions, until you answer mine".  He looked down "I don't know what we are, what do you want us to be"?  I look away and pick Myself up and slowly walk to my car, he catches up and says "Where are you going"?  "I'm going to my Dad's house".  He looks upset "Are you going to get away from me"?  "No I'm going to spend time with my Dad. And to answer your question, I want us to be something not just a summer fling".  He nods "Then will you be my Girlfriend"?  I smile at him "Yes, I will".  He opens the car door and gets in, I look at him confused.  "What are you doing"?  He grins "I'm gonna ask your fathers permission to date you".  I blush, "Really"?  He smiles "yup".   I start the car, and we head down the road to start the half hour drive to my Dad's house.   When we arrive My Dad runs down the driveway, and gives me our traditional bear hug.   He smiles "Hey kiddo, how's it going"?   I grin,  "It's going great".   He see's Dylan, "Who's he"?  I let Dylan introduce himself, and I kinda blush.  He speaks "Hello sir, with your permission, I'd like to date your daughter Taylor". He looks at me then seriously looks at Dylan dead in the eyes.  "It takes a real man to ask a father's permission to date his daughter and you have done just that, so my answer is Yes. You may date my daughter".   He grins "Thank you sir, I will do my best to keep your daughter Happy and always bring a smile to her face".   We all laughed, then headed inside.  My dad really cleaned up his house, it looks amazing.  My dad clears his throat "So I cleaned up and I'm dating. Her name is Lisa and she's really amazing".   I lose it "Where is she? I wanna meet her".  "She's actually out at the store right now getting snacks and stuff for dinner", My Dad says with a grin.  "I wanted to stay here and catch up with my Kiddo".  I smile at his comment, and Dylan brushes his hand with mine so they are holding together.  My dad smiles, then we hear a car door close and the turning of keys in the door. Lisa is home!   I run to the door, "Surprise"!    She smiles, "You must be Taylor, Your Dad told me you were coming and I was so excited to finally get to meet you".   I smile and nod "Yup that's me, and yes I'm so excited that my dad is dating again".  My dad smiles "Actually, I wanna make an announcement!  Lisa Korent, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me"?  He gets down on one knee pulling out a Beautiful shiny diamond ring!  I grin at her and say "Say Yes"!  She looks so excited "Really?  Oh my god then Yes I will marry You"!   I grin and watch him slip the ring on her finger and she kisses him on the lips.  I break the silence "So when's the wedding"?  My dad laughs "How about this summer"?  We all nod and grin, My Dad grins "Dylan can be my Best Man"!  I laugh, and Lisa says "And Taylor can be my Maid of honor, if she wants to be"?  I practically squeal "Hell Yes! I'll be your Maid of Honor"!   We all laugh and have a nice family dinner.  Everything was so happy until the door bell rang. I knew in my gut something bad was about to happen.
