Second Chances

It wasn't until Senior year when I finally saw him again. After he left the next day was my Cats funeral, after that I was really depressed. My teachers noticed and kept emailing my parents who couldn't do anything about it. I knew Snowball would want me to be happy, and luckily I turned towards music and joined Theatre. I have such a great voice that I got a lot of lead roles, and I would star in almost everyone show. My parents came to every single show, and so did Ian. Dylan got into football, and he watched all of my shows which was pretty strange to me. One night for my senior show, he came up to me after my show Mamma Mia. I played Sophie and it was our best show ever! He apologized and gave me roses, then he pulled out a golden heart locket with my initials carved into it, and then he said "Will you give me a second chance, and go out with me again"? My eyes brimmed with tears and I said "Yes"! He clipped the necklace around my neck and kissed my lips for awhile. We pulled away and I told him to wait while I changed out of my costume. I changed into my light grayish sweater, and dark blue jeans and white converse. He was waiting for me, and I walked up to him and said "Hey, I'm back". He laughed and we held hands and left to his truck. When we were driving he talked all about how he missed me and how he would try extra harder to do everything he can to make me happy. I would laugh and smile, then tell him that I will always be happy as long as he's with me. We ended up getting Chinese and watching movies all Friday night long. We fell asleep and I was cuddled up in his arms, when I woke up He was still asleep. I poked his cheek and said "Are you real"? He laughed and sat up "Yes, Taylor I'm pretty sure I'm real". When he sat up I fell off of him onto the floor, he scooped me up and apologized and I just kept laughing. We went for a walk in the park later and he blindfolded me. When he took the blindfold off he held a kitten that looked a lot like Snowball, I teared up a bit. "Why did you bring me here"? He smiled "I know how much Snowball meant to you so I thought maybe we could raise a kitten together, so if we lose this kitten we'll lose it together instead of you facing with grief alone". I let the tears fall "That's the sweetest thing a guy has ever said to me". I hugged him tightly and kissed him passionately. I picked up the tiny kitten and Dylan and I walked back to my Moms house who I've been staying with after I left my dads at the end of my sophomore summer. When we got back we put her in the play pin to chill while we discuss a name for her.  Dylan suggested Fluffy, Grey, and Snow.  I suggested Winter, Flakes, and Storm.  We decided to name her Storm, and then we discussed how we're gonna keep her when we're both supposed to be leaving for college soon.  "I could take her with me because I have a house rented up in Miami where I'm going to school for the next four years", I told him trying to provide a solution.  He laughed "You're going to Miami?  I guess we really think alike because I'm also going to Miami.  I got offered a great job there and took the opportunity.  I was going to go before graduation but seeing you perform last night made me realize I didn't want to leave without you".   I smile "Wow,  if we're both going to Miami, why don't we just live together"?   We both laugh and agree that's our best option.  I scoop up Storm in my arms and sit down on the couch to rest.  Dylan scoops me up in his arms, he turns on the tv and we watch reruns of Pretty Little Liars.   After a few hours we get up and make dinner, I cook a batch of rice and Dylan makes the adobo.  While we wait for the food to cook, I start boxing up my stuff and stacking them.  Dylan comes in to help me, by the time we finish it's time for dinner.  My parents get home late exhausted from work and I prep the table, and then we all eat together as a family.  I tell them mine and Dylan's plan, they reluctantly agree to it saying how he could cheat on me again and hurt me. I ignore them, finish packing and rest in my old bed.  Dylan comes up later on, and says Storm is asleep in the play pin. I laugh and sit up, he walks closer and sits on the edge of the bed.  "Are you ready to start our new lives tomorrow"?  I smile "Of course, I wouldn't want to be with anyone else".   He ended up falling asleep, completely exhausted from our busy day.   We start our new lives together tomorrow, and I can't wait to get settled in the new house.  Before school starts up in the fall, I'm gonna visit my Dad and Lisa since we had to push back the wedding because of my anxiety attacks about Dylan and Snowball.   I hope they can forgive me for ruining their plans for their big day.  With that last thought, I drift off to sleep.
