after the incident last week, lisa became more cautious around jennie. the girl would always glare at her whenever they cross paths at the hallway or whenever she would go near seyoon. but despite jennie's behavior towards her, lisa never avoided her childhood friend and dismissed her thoughts about jennie instead.

"you free this weekend?" seyoon asked, placing his arm around lisa's shoulders. the girl smiled, looking away.

"why? do you have any plans that doesn't include playing with other people's feelings." seyoon retrieved his arm after hearing lisa's remark, bringing his hand to his chest, faking a hurt expression.

"lisa, you know i'm not like that. w-why would you say such a mean thing-" the boy started fake sobbing into which lisa rolled her eyes at, erupting into a smile she failed to suppress.

seeing his bestfriend smile, seyoon stopped his little drama, ruffling lisa's hair after. warmth started spreading into his chest upon seeing lisa's smile.

"i'm glad i made you smile. i haven't seen you smile so genuinely since you became the school council's president. how have you been?"

the two took a seat on the lowest part of the bleachers, continuing their conversation.

"yeah, it has been really really stressful.." lisa sighed, "but i'm doing fine. i just need to learn how to multitask. what about you?"

"well," seyoon looked away and looked at the other students practicing, with a disinterested look on his face. "i've been thinking about quitting the team. i'm not happy anymore. the passion is gone and pressure chose to take over."

he sighed, looking back at lisa, smiling half-heartedly. "but i'm glad you've been doing well. anyways, want me to teach you how to multitask like a pro?"

while being immersed into their own conversation, the two didn't noticed that a girl was watching the two of them. jennie was seated on the highest part of the bleachers, watching the scene infront of her with a distasteful look evident on her face.

jennie rolled her eyes and walked away, making sure that the two would notice her but when she realized her failure, the girl groaned and exited the school gymnasium instead.
