after their last encounter, lisa never saw jennie again. even if it made her a bit sad, she felt more relieved for the things she had to deal with lessened. besides, the school festival was happening in a week and this just means that lisa and the rest of the student council needs to fix their focus on bringing the event into a success.
the week flew by quickly and the school that used to look boring is now filled with lanterns and other colorful decorations that uplifted the students' spirits. different stalls are on the school grounds and the classrooms each had their own booths and as for lisa's class, they had decided to do a marriage booth- which was seyoon's idea.
"ready to get married, babe?"
"shut up and help us, will you? this was your idea, you need to help." lisa glared at seyoon who was grinning.
"exactly. it was my idea, meaning- i already did my part."
"ugh, i wish i can curse at you right now."
"do it, ms. president! people from the journalism club are watching." he wiggled his eyebrows, pointing towards the group of people who were taking pictures just outside their classroom door. lisa rolled her eyes once again, trying her best not to punch her bestfriend in the face.
"wait 'till we get home, " seyoon laughed and shook his head, booping lisa's nose then decided to just help her.

after an hour, the booths were opened and students were roaming the school freely, enjoying their free week while it lasts.
lisa was about to return to the marriage booth when a pair of hands pulled her arm, bringing her inside an empty classroom, closing the door behind her.
"what the-- jennie?" her eyes widened and her cheeks started heating up, seeing the girl she hasn't seen for weeks infront of her, looking as beautiful as ever.
"yeah." she laughed awkwardly and let go of lisa's arm. "i.. look, i'm sorry for being such a bitch to you during the last few weeks. it will never happen again--"
"it's alright, jennie. i'm glad you decided to ap---"
"IF-" this caused lisa to furrow her eyebrows, waiting for jennie to continue speaking. "-you help me with seyoon."
lisa blinked multiple times, registering what jennie had just said. she looked on jennie's eyes, a hint of desperation showing on them. lisa looked away and sighed, forming her lips into a thin line.
"alright then, i'll just find out who seyoon likes and do the same th--"
"okay okay. i'll help you. as long as you stop being mean to the other students, alright?"
jennie was quiet for a moment, causing lisa to nervously look back to her. did i say something wrong? she thought.
lisa was about to ask why when jennie suddenly started giggling, scrunching her nose up in the process. and lisa's going to lie if she say that this didn't make her heart flutter. it was her first time seeing jennie like this and she felt privileged to have witnessed this side of jennie with her very own eyes.
"cute." jennie chuckled, then shook her head, returning to her intimidating facade. "so when do we start?" she raised her brow.
