The Lake house

Meryl saw Charlie pull up and she immediately hide. She slip into the closet without a problem. As she shuts the door another door opens and she hears Charlie's hear a pair of footsteps. She heard them walking toward her then right past her. Meryl hears Charlie looking and then she hear a door shut and Meryl opens the door and very quickly grab her skates and run down to the lake. This was were Meryl began skating. meryl's life was changing in this area.she pulled in my skates and lace them up.

And in the back of her mind she heard Charlie say "don't forget to take off the guards." Meryl smiled to herself and begin to skate.

( charlie POV) 

I run out of the house as I hear soft footsteps running and then I see her gracefully skating on the ice. I decide to wait for her in the cabin. I begin walking to the cabin and I hear a scream. Not just any scream, Meryl's scream. the scream I have only heard once before.

I look down to see the ice break and Meryl falling into the freezing water.

(meryl POV)

When the ice cracks the panic sets in I begin to fall and feel a sharp pain on my leg. I don't have time to excess the damage because before I know it the ice cold water hits me. I hold on to a very small ledge of ice as I struggle to swim with my skates on.

"HELP." I try pulling myself up but it's nearly impossible. That's when I see someone come toward me at a running pace. I see the all too familiar curls and the strong build of Charlie. "How did he find me?" I say to myself. My emotions are conflicted, I'm mad he's here but than without him I'd freeze to death. I run to her as fast as I can. All I can think about is saving her. I soon reach the lake and careful walk on the ice towards her.
