A Special Guide to Different Species

  Hello there my name is Bella. You may know me as the one who stuck by Mina on her adventures. Today I will be your special guide on this mini tour. What are we touring you ask? We will be taking a small look at the world which I live in the great large world of Lagios. You see our world has many different things living in it isn't it beautiful how so many of us can live together side by side at peace? Anyhow let's begin shall we?

Humans:
Ah, humans, the world is populated by many and they are the most prominent species seen humans make up a good chunk of the population I am a human too. Humans for the most part are pretty low on the scale most of us are very weak however we make use of weapons, firearms and other things. Some humans however are above average some of us make use of magic and become mages or have superhuman capabilities and we can manipulate energies and auras. Take me for example I am a human who learned water magic and was quite strong I would fall under the mage category. Or take a look at Mina she would be more a skilled weapon user and a bit superhuman as she could manipulate her energy and aura to form attacks such as her signature Shining Strike where she concentrates energy into her rapier to increase not only the speed of her strikes but the power behind it. Some humans can be born with magic though this is rare take Sara for example Yume's mother she was a human born with a peculiar ability to manipulate and control glass this is very rare and as of now she is the only known full blooded human to be born with such a thing. Overall even though we are the weakest naturally we are atleast very versatile in what we can do to help a bit I guess a jack of all trades thing we are.


The Undead:
Undead it's pretty much like a zombie or something or heck even a vampire. We don't encounter many of the undead but there is one in particular who we know of so far Barbara she would fall under the undead category. Many years ago she committed a very famous mass murder which is now dubbed as the Aideen Murder Case that involved the brutal murder of an entire large family of 9 people in the span of 2 days!!! To this day the murder case remains unsolved and 2 of the victims corpses have gone missing. She took from their home after murdering them the Dagger of Rebirth. When the authorities were hot on her trail she committed suicide with the dagger to test it out in a discrete spot as to never be found. She later revived and became immortal. However, her immortality isn't perfect. She is alive yes but not in a living body anymore she came back still dead and one can tell something is up with her as she gives off the odor of decaying flesh yuck!! I am glad I never met her the smell of a rotted corpse is a very powerful stench she would probably kill my nose if she came around. Due to being undead and some of her body rotted she no longer feels pain so taking her down is a challenge.

Half Breeds:
Half breeds are those who are of mixed species Mmm something like a mixed race child or something except in this case it is species. Our world is filled with more than just humans and we people live peacefully side by side with other species although most places only humans gather. Despite us not minding other species people still have a long way to go to fully accept others. Many years ago We feared greatly those of another species and even forbid people getting close to other species Zeke and Sara died because they fell in love but they were different from one another so they were executed as a result. We have come a long way since then and the different races get along but there is still a bit of animosity or fear. Anyway half breeds can be a mix of anything. Take Yume for example she is half human half darkling. Her mother was human and her father a type of darkling. Another example is Opal. She is an Inugami and Human mix due to this she has many canine like features despite looking for the most part human she has dog ears on the top of her head and even a short tail. There are many like Opal and she came from an entire village full of them so it's quite clear humans and the inugami folk have had close ties for a long time because now they are all mixed up. There are many who are half breeds around us and the mix ups are endless so there is no telling how many are out there.

Zodiac Demons:
The Zodiac Demons are a race of demon creatures whom have been around for many generations. They consisted of 9 individuals each going by a name of the zodiac so far we have the following Leo, Sagittarius, Taurus, Capricorn, Gemini, Scorpio, Libra, Aquarius, and Pisces. Zodiac Demons are born naturally powerful and are pretty top tier. Most of them possess a unique trait or ability that only they have like for example Scorpio had a type of poison only he had. His poison was a mixture of deadly toxins and acid!! So not only did he poison his foes but he slowly burned them to death too! Zodiac Demons for the most part look like humans however a few of them have traits on them that make them stand out like did you get a good look at the horns on Capricorn's head? She has 2 purple horns on her head I sure would not want to be someone who got poked by those. Zodiac Demons are very rare though and there are only 9 of them well.. 8 since Scorpio was killed. They do have the ability to reproduce though. Pregnancy in Zodiac Demon females is much much shorter in time than that of a humans they can give birth as quickly as 1 month! So they have that advantage but as of now none have done so. So there are only 8 of them left. Where the original 9 came from or how they were born though no one knows theories say they manifested from magic of some kind many years ago or maybe they were originally a type of different demon that ascended to a higher level and evolved into a more advanced form.

Darklings:
Ah the Darklings these creatures there are many different branch types out there however they are rare to come across and difficult to find for the most part. these creatures have a variety of unique traits. The only known darklings so far are Aries and his brother Zeke. Both of them belong to a type of insect like darkling race while they for the most part had the anatomy of a humans body their faces looked like that of a type of insect. Due to this and the time period they lived in they stayed among themselves mainly. But when they went out among humans they wore masks to cover their faces. Zeke did this when he lived with and married Sara as a means to hide what he was from the humans. For a long time this branch of insect darkling had bad relations with humans but in Zeke's time period relations with humans was starting to slowly bud and they were slowly allying. However some of Zeke's people still had animosity towards humans one such prime example of this was Zeke's younger brother Aries he absolutely loathes humans and when he found out his brother had fallen in love with one and even had a child with her he wasn't so happy about the whole idea. This particular group of darkling had the innate special trait of being immune to heat, cold and poison of any kind. So they were a very adaptable race and could survive in pretty much any climate. As of now this insect like race of darkling is currently extinct all members have died off somehow many years ago and the only known living members left are Aries and his half breed niece Yume. This race also possess very long lifespans an average darkling of Aries's race can live about 8000 years tops while half breeds like Yume can potentially live for up to 6000 years of age that is a long time to live!

Gods:
Aswell as so many other species living here we also have gods. Gods are divine entities that can represent many things ranging from fire, earth or even light. Each region of the continent worships a different god like for example in Clayter we followed Azul the god of water and there is even the Frozen Temple where he once resided. Gods are more or less humans that have at some point in their lives ascended to a new height. When they become a divine entity they are no longer like us and they even do not have a physical body anymore either! When one reaches godhood they are above all others and have unimaginable power! Did you know many years ago the Zodiac Demons were all defeated and sealed away by our current gods? Despite them not having a physical body anymore they can still be killed if one is to use a certain spell on them Aries has such a magic spell he created to counter their bodies being intangible to all harm rendering them able to be harmed once touched. Gods can also reproduce even though they are divine entities. Azul at some point got with humans that is how I am able to use one of Azul's magic spells because my ancestors were connected directly with Azul. Reaching godhood isn't an easy feat and there are many requirements and everything for a human to ascend. Currently, it is unknown how this happens and there are only 6 known gods in the land. Gods do not need to be human either as there is a 7th that is more or less forgotten nowadays Noir the dragon god was once worshipped many years ago and is ancient so there is no telling how many were actually out there. Also did I mention that demons really hate these gods? Especially Blanc his light magic could repel and defeat many demons in a single blast Blanc of them all was the most hated due to his light.

Demons:
There are many types of demons that live in our world who come in many different shapes, sizes and forms. Like darklings there can be different branches of demons. However they are lesser demons than Zodiac Demons. A normal demon can become as strong as a Zodiac Demon with many years of training but it's rarely gotten. Examples of Demon include Garnet. Garnet was a powerful mid tier demon who used lightning based magic and served under Capricorn. Demons can be more or less pretty much like humans except they live much longer, physically age slower and are naturally stronger than an average human at birth. And also unlike humans demons can be very flexible in reproduction they do not need our simple ways and can also be born from various things ranging from the forces of nature itself to magic but they can reproduce the same way as humans if they so choose and need to if a demon is ever to breed with a human to make a half breed.

Ghosts:
Sometimes when a person dies their spirit remains in the living world for various reasons. Though we have rarely seen ghosts I guess you could call me one and even Azul! Azul and I both died at some point and both our spirits remained I was even able to speak with Mina for one last final time...I wish I could stay with her my love for her will never fade. Ghosts cannot be harmed or destroyed in any way or form. We can be gotten rid of by other methods though but it is very hard to do. We can possess people and even appear in their dreams. Azul once appeared in one of Mina's dreams while she slept and he met her that way. My spirit resided in the Frozen Temple and I was able to pass on water magic to Mina however my soul has since passed on and I am no longer in the place. But I can appear there to grant a traveler who manages to reach the area the gift of water like I did for Mina.
