I ran out the house to Shanice waiting in her car.

"Hey, girl," I yelled at her.

"Heeey! Hop in!"

I smiled and got in.

"So where you wanna go?" Shanice looked over and smiled at me.

"Let's go to that mall by your house, but before that I need to ask you a favor..."

She looked at me with a confused look on her face. "Sure... what's up Zi?"

"Ummm... can you take me to," I spaced out my sentence not sure of what Shay's reaction would be, "Jay's house? Really quick please! I swear it'll only take a minute! I just need t-"

"No, Zi! Why?! Haven't you gotten sick of that boy yet? He's such an ass!"

Shay new about some of the drama between me and Jay. Sure he was Jay, but he and I together were no Jay Z and Beyoncé. They seemed like they had the perfect relationship, something Jay and I were far from having.

"I know... That's why, I'm going to his house to break up with him!"

I lied, but I know that's the only way she'll take me there. I needed to confront him about what went down today. It always seems like I have to do something out of my comfort zone to prove my loyalty to this boy.

"Really? I know how much you love that boy. Are you lying?"

"Yeah, I'm done with him. So can you take me? Please?"

I grabbed her arm and gave her my best puppy dog eyes.

"Alright. Let's go to this loser's house," she sighed as she sat back in her seat and pulled off from in front of my apartment.

"Thank you," I smiled.

I felt really bad for lying to her, but that's the only way...

We pulled up to Jay's house. He was in the front with all his boys on the porch.

"Hold on. Who are all of them "lookin' ass niggas?" Shay questioned. Neither one of us were ever too fond of the word "nigga", but the use of Nicki's lyrics were quite appropriate for this sitation. The guys stared into Shay's window trying to figure out who we were, or better yet what we looked like.

"I'll be fine," I said unbuckling my seat belt.

"Call me if you need back up."

I laughed and got out of the car.

I stepped onto the side walk and cautiously walked toward the house. Jay sat at the top of the porch like the king of his throne, while the others sat around him puffing and passing a blunt around.

"Yo, who is this cute little shorty?" One his friends said to Jay while staring me down.

"None of your business, nigga! This is my girl. Watch the fuck out, boy," Jay said knocking the hat off of his friend's head. The others laughed and continued to pass the blunt around.

"Oh, my bad bruh," the friend said putting up his hands in defense, "She a dime piece though..,"he mumbled picking his hat up off the ground.

Jay got up, grabbed my hips, and licked his lips.

"Hey, baby," he kissed me and I grabbed his arms.

I broke from the kiss and looked into his eyes. I didn't want to kiss in front of his homies knowing they would all be watching.

"Hey, look Jay can we talk in the house for a minute?," I said pointing to his door and avoiding contact with his friends.

"Aight, shawty," he replied.
