The Dark Side of my Mind

Introductions

First off, allow me to just say that I have NEVER attempted something like this before. Horror, and I mean true horror (Not that cringe-worthy shit like the Grudge and its sequel or even the SAW series (because let's face it, the SAW series is more gore than "make-you-jump-and-have-nightmares-for-years" horror)), has always interested me, but sadly could never really scare me witless. Sure, the Grudge did make me jump briefly, but that was only because some little, idiotic dipshit I was living with at the time decided to pull an asshole move and scare the living daylights out of my friends and I during one of the obvious jump-scare scenes. (If you're reading this, you know who you are! I will pay you back one day for that, so watch your back ya little bastard!)

-Clears Throat- Moving on now that I got that out of the way.

As I said earlier, I have never attempted to write this genre before so I WILL obviously struggle for the first few one-shots and they will be a little weak until I fall into the "Horror Mentality", as I like to call it. That being said, consider this your only warning that if you come away disappointed after reading anything found here.... Well, it's your own fault for not yielding to my warning.

Secondly, at the end of each one-shot there will be a character profile if a new main character was introduced in that one-shot. They will cover the usual info; name, date of birth, age, appearance, personality, likes, dislike, a brief bio, etc.

Also, I will try to post at least one a week. Which shouldn't be too hard as I already have a backlog of one-shots made for this piece of work. Though, on days were I'm only talking about my own personal experiences with the supernatural or whatever, I'll post the next one-shot right after it. So expect me to run out of a backlog eventually if I get hit with Writer's Block and I get stuck for ideas anytime during the writing of this.

Now before the question is asked, I'm just going to come right out and say it. If you wish to turn any of my main characters into Creepypasta, go right ahead. Just give me a warning that you're going to do so. That way I'll know to expect fan art/stories to start popping up soon. Also, SEND ME A LINK TO IT! I would like see how you interpret my characters.  

Lastly, the reason why this is rated 18+ isn't just because of character death or gory scenes. I've also rated it 18+ because there will be a lot of swearing at points... And possibly other adult themes that I don't want anyone under the age of 16 exposed too. So if you're a parent and you're allowing your kids to read this or are reading it to them, shame on you! That's completely irresponsible of you! I don't care what today's social norms are, young children shouldn't be exposed to this kind of shit! Start them off on something that is just straight horror and nothing else if you really want to introduce them to the genre. But don't blame me if they have nightmares for weeks afterwards, I'm not the one who introduced them to the horror genre. That's on you.
