    Mary's pov
I felt a hand tug at my arm and I slightly groaned inwardly.
"What's wrong honey?" I forced my eyes to look at my three year old son. He gave me a look and I soon was out of my bed and across the hall to his bedroom. His bright green eyes looked back at me with fear. My motherly instinct was to hug him an hold him as close to me as possible but instead, I picked up my little boy and tucked him back into bed and knelt in front of him.
"Honey, it's okay to be scared. Everyone gets scared of something in their life. If you get to scared I will be right here." My hand covering his against his chest.
"All you have to do is close your eyes and imagine yourself in a place that makes you happy. I love you honey. I will be right across the hallway if you need me. Okay?" He nodded and I kissed his forehead. Turning around, I peeked one last time to see him closing his eyes tight and I shut the door. I softly walked back over to our side of the hallway and slid back into bed with the unsuspecting Francis. Soon, his unknowing self woke up and turned over giving me the knowing look.
"Did he do it again?" I nodded with a sigh. His arm snakes around my waist and pulled me closer to him and I snuggled against his chest while my head sat under his chin.
"I wish he wasn't so scared. I wish we could something more. Though, I know this is normal. I always was afraid of the monsters lurking under my bed at the convent. I always was especially after all those stories that the nuns told us about the ghosts to scare us." I smiled a little thinking about it but brushed the thought off of the side going back to the task at hand. Francis nodded solemnly but also smiled slightly-telling me he was reminiscing about something in the past.
"I was always afraid of an attack on the palace. But, my mother actually helped me with that fear and told me to confront it." I nodded. The feeling of his hands running up and down my back slowly lulled me into a deep peaceful sleep.

The covers being ripped up of my body woke me up though from my once peaceful sleep and I turned to glare at whoever dared to do such a thing. I found the perpetrator aka Francis with little john on his hip. I swiftly rolled out of bed and landed gracefully on my feet getting ready to stalk my prey.
"Your gonna lay for that." I laughed while moving my fingers in a motion that shows I'm getting to ready my assault with the tickle fingers on my very ticklish child. He was already giggling which made me smile. Francis whispered something in his small ear which let out a reaction of him swiftly nodding. And just like that we were having an all out race around the bedroom. Soon, I caught up to them and my fingers found his little underarms and he was immediately laughing up a storm.
Francis though, he switched teams and started to tickle him too which our son didn't find too nice but he couldn't help but laugh.
I smiled down at my boys, they looked ridiculous and happy. That's all I wanted them to be; was happy. Our little tickle fight had ended and John was pleading to be fed. I silently agreed and led my baby to the dinning room and awaited for the food to be served. This morning for breakfast we had eggs, bacon, and toast with multiple different jams to choose from. I buttered johns toast just the way he liked it because apparently, it's the only way to eat toast. I laughed a little at the memory when john grimaced when he first tried jam on his toast. Francis claimed that he wasn't his child because of this but eventually got over and stopped saying that he wasn't his child because that claim in itself could result in consequences. I didn't think of anything other than my life so far and this upcoming council meeting that I actually had to attend. I surprised when Francis told me I was going to be able to enter this council meeting. The normal for these meetings is Francis goes to them and he briefs me on how it went slash complain about all the work he will have to do. Then I, go up to him and tell him that I would gladly help take some of the work load off of him. The point is I can actually be there and possibly will be able to voice some commentary. Soon, little john finished his breakfast and I ushered him to clean up and get ready for his lesson today. I quickly left him in his room believing he was duly capable of dressing himself, plus Greer was present in the room so I felt comfortable that she would take him to his lesson and come to the work room to where we usually work and help do whatever is necessary for that day or problem. I sat down readying myself for the days workload to find that there wasn't any. Confused, I looked around the room to double check if there was actually nothing. I scanned the room one more time to consult as to why there was no work.
