Chapter 7

Francis pov
I turned around and saw...
Mary she looked like she just saw a ghost and then she started running. "Mary where are you going? Come back." she looked over at this guy in black and he was walking over to her and I intercepted him and said "Why are you following my wife for?"
He was greatly annoyed, but I didn't care. I want answers.
"I am a advisor and I have news about her mother she is on her death bed." I was just as stunned at what he had said I went to where Mary went and she was by the pond where she first was when she gave me those rocks.

"Mary I have to tell you something it is about you mom." she looked at me that seemed to catch her attention. "Your mother is on her death bed."

She looked at me with wide eyes and she just laid her head on my chest and started crying. And all I could say to her is " everything is going to be alright." but I knew it wasn't going to be.

One week later
Mary and I are in Scotland going to her mothers funeral and the whole time Mary was crying over her loss.
I mean I couldn't blame her she just lost her mother. So for the next hour I've been comforting her and holding her eventually crying herself to sleep.

For the next few days Mary and I have been ruling here.
A few days later we left to go back to France. We left Mary's half brother as temporary regent. "Mary are you okay you haven't talked in days?"I said concerned about her wellbeing.
"Francis I'm fine...just tired" she said and she laid her head on my chest.

One week later
When we arrived at home everyone welcomed us back and after welcome Mary went straight to her chambers. When I went to check on her, she was fast asleep still in her day clothes. So I left the room and headed to go see my mother.

"Mom she just lost her mother what can I do to help comfort her. You know what I just answered my own question." I said so I left the room and headed over to her chambers and Mary was still in her bed sleeping. I'm going to bring her out to the balcony and tell her the story about the fireflies and light lanterns to act as the fireflies.

Night fall
"Mary come walk outside on the balcony with me." I said softly.
"Mary I know it's hard losing your mother so I wanted to cheer you up. Remember when we were 8 we would go outside and go outside and try to catch the fireflies?"
I asked
"yes. And when they did come I would be happy and when they didn't I would cry." she said giving me a sad smile. I opened the shutters and said "Mary look."

Mary's pov

I lifted my head and walked over and looked out the window and saw these lanterns. "Oh Francis the fireflies and you did this for me?" I asked "Mary I will do anything and everything for you. You know that and I will even die for you." he said passionately "I love you so much. I hope I will never lose you." and with that he gave me a chaste kiss and we walked back into my chambers and Enjoyed the rest of my night with Francis.

Well i am sorry i haven't updated in a while i have been busy and I just got back from a lock In so I am extremely tired I promise next chapter will come faster. Thank you for reading.
