Maddie's POV-
At about 5 A.M., I woke Kendall up and told her I had to leave.
"I'll see you tomorrow at dance," she mumbled and went back to sleep.
"Okay," I whispered and smiled at her while she slept. I sighed and stood up. I climbed through the small window and walked to my car.
I cracked open the front door to my house and slid through. The light was on in the kitchen.
"Weird," I think as I walk upstairs.
"Where do you think you were young lady?" I hear my mom say behind me. I freeze.
"Um, it was just uh, hot so I wanted to take a drive. Um... you know, just to get the air in," I stumbled. My dad laughed.
"At five in the morning? And why do you have that basket with you?" He threw at me.
"Fine," I sighed. "I went to Kendall's," I said, which was only partially a lie. My parents glanced at each other.
"Your punishment comes tomorrow," they said. I sighed and walked up the stairs. I crawled in my bed.
