Rex lifted Zeeke up, slinging one of Zeeke's shoulder over his own.

"We've got to keep moving," Rex orders.

Rex was practically dragging Zeeke, as he wasn't taking any real steps.

"You know Princess, if you keep glaring at the back of my head, I might start to take it personally." Rex jokes.

I hadn't realised my frustration was obvious on my face. I don't know what the relationship between Rex and Micah was, but the way he left Zeeke on the ground with a bullet in his leg was disgusting.
I didn't dignify his complaint with a response, instead I continued my cold glare.

"Zeeke, you're girlfriend is ignoring me," Rex whines.

"She's not my girlfriend," Zeeke answers weakly.

The injury was taking its toll.

Rex mumbled something under his breath, I couldn't quite make it out. I was to busy shunning him to ask him what he had said, regardless of my own curiosity.

We continued to trudge on in silence. Rex let out a loud yawn, and pushed through into a clearing with soft grass.
The grass was a blessing to my now torn feet, with Zeeke out of action I was forced to brave the harsh terrain without shoes. The result was less than pleasant.
I let out a sigh as the cold, wet grass took away the burning sensation in my feet.
Rex frowned at the ground.

"I just had to total the car, didn't I?" He whined, he lowered Zeeke onto the ground with a huff.

"You did what?" Zeeke demanded.

Rex gives an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I... I killed your car," Rex admits.

Zeeke gave him a hard and cold stare, Rex met it without a waver.

"You should take your contacts out," Rex says, brushing off the icy glare.

"I'm going to kill you," Zeeke ignores Rex's concern and threatens him.

"You can't even walk," Rex smirks at him.

It wasn't an cruel smirk, like I'd seen on Ace. It was a confident and challenging smirk.

"Besides that, Micah has one of your throwing knifes and Princess here left the other one back in the forest," Rex tilts his head in the direction we came from.

Oops.

"You're lucky I have one of mine," Rex pulls a strange face I couldn't quite name.

Was it pity?

Zeeke's eyes widened in a stiff and alert manner.

"No." He said sternly.

"You and I both know you're not actually getting a choice, little brother." Rex held his gaze without so much as a flinch.

"Little brother?" I interrupted.

"He's not actually my brother," Rex explained, "but we did grow up together."

I was getting more confused. Hadn't Micah just recently said 'until you sided with them'? Insinuating they had a history together? I was beginning to think I'd never understand boys, especially these two.
