Prompt: Everyone is assigned a guardian angel who helps them out through life, however due to a clerical error a demon was assigned to you
Jaxson looked at the assignment he got; normally only angels get assigned to watch over humans but on occasion there is a mistake and a demon gets to have some fun. Jaxson smirked, he was going to have fun.

Everyone gets a guardian when they are born. Most met them when they are older and in a position of trouble and some lucky few never met theirs meaning life went perfectly for them. Some unlucky people know their guardian for their whole life.Hudson was one of those unlucky few. In fact, he was even more unlucky not because his guardian was a demon but because said demon loved to cause trouble. He set things on fire and got into fights. Often Hudson got in trouble for what he did because no one believed that a guardian could do bad things.
When the demon, Jaxson got him in trouble he just took it because he knew Jaxson was only doing it to get a reaction. Jaxson would have been annoyed with Hudson's uncaring attitude but they had become good friends and enjoyed talking. Besides, the human laughed at Jaxson's morbid sense of humor and only told him not to do anything to the others or else their guardian would get him. Jaxson wasn't afraid of those stupid angels but he never hurt others just in case, for Hudson's sake.
Then in high school started and Hudson started talking about him. The human had had friends before, lots of them in fact, and the demon never cared. He found them fun to tease and pull pranks on but they never mattered. Sure, Hudson talked about them and hung out with them but he spent most of his time with Jaxson.
Then in 10th grade Hudson noticed a boy in his classes who was shy and only ever talked to his guardian, an angel by the name of Lilly. Hudson wasn't the type of person to just start gushing about someone, no instead he found subtle ways to work Connor into conversation. Like today they were talking about what to do after school.
"Hum... I don't know but Lilly was talking to me yesterday during free period and said Connor wants to go see the new superhero movie at the theater, maybe the four of us can go together since it is Friday." Hudson pushes his cap up and looks over to where Lilly and Connor are sitting.
"Ugh, do we have to invite him. Why can't we just go with Jake and Justin." Jaxson makes a face and Hudson laughs.
"Don't you hate Justin." Jaxson rolls his eyes making Hudson laugh again.
The demon smirks, "Well yeah, he is a stupid know-it-all who thinks he is better then me because he is an angel with a human that he is useful for, like I care about being useful."
"Well you can invite them; I am going to ask Connor." And with that he walked away leaving an annoyed demon.
Hudson has only started talking to Connor a few weeks ago and the boy was still not used to it. As soon as Hudson walked up Connor started to blush, although that might have been because Lilly whispered something into his ear.
"Um, h-hey Hudson. H-how are you today?" He studded as Lilly walks away to talk to another girl in their study hall, her blue eyes light with mirth knowing what was going to happen.
Hudson laughs lightly, "I wanted to know if you wanted to go see a movie with me."
"A-a movie? W-with you? J-just the two of us?" Connor blushed making Hudson laugh.
Jaxson ran up, "No way, I'm coming too." He yelled in Connor's ear making the poor boy jump.
"What Jaxson means," Hudson says shoving the demon away, "is that we are going in a small group so no pressure. It'll be me, you, Jaxson and Lilly unless Lilly is inviting other people right now."
"Wait what!?!?" Connor whips around to look at Lilly who is talking animatedly to Sophie. "Um, yes! I would love to go to the movies with you. Tonight the 6 o'clock showing. We'll meet you there." He says hurriedly turning to go grab Lilly, "Lilly! Stop!"
Hudson laughs at the sight while Jaxson shoved him, "Dude! What was that for?"
"You shoved me first, and what the hell was that for." The demon crossed his arms.
Hudson crosses his arms, mimicking Jaxson, "You scared him. That was kind of mean."
"Ugh," Jaxson rolls his eyes, "Connor this and Connor that! What is so special about that boy. He is just a stupid human who can't even talk to you. And of course I was mean, I'm a demon or did you forget." He had started yelling at some point and by the end the whole room was looking at him.
Hudson voice got real low, "Look, I know you feel threatened by me hanging out with someone else but your still my best friend. You mean a lot to me and you are never going to be replaced."
"Ha!" Jaxson turns to Connor, "I win!" Hudson just shakes his head.
"No man, you didn't because while your my best friend, Connor means something different to me. That doesn't mean I like him more or less then I like you but it also doesn't give you the right to hurt his feelings." Hudson calmly explains to the demon who was confused on what 'something different' meant.
"Well I guess." He turns to Connor, "I'm sorry, what I said was uncalled for and I was being stupid not you."
As he walks out of the room Lilly stands up, "Well, I think someone should explain... things to him and it looks like it's going to be me. See ya at the movies later." And with that she left.
