"Perrie!" Jade ran to the blonde as she wraps her arms around the younger woman in excitement. The blonde took in the scent of her best friend feeling all the bliss throughout her whole body just seeing the brunette again.
"What's with the excitement, missy?" Perrie chuckled unwrapping her arms around the petite woman, already missing the slight warmth they shared. Jade and Perrie have been best friends since womb. Their mothers were best friends since high school and until now they were still the dynamic duo. That's where the two younger ladies comes in to continue the strong bond their mothers have.
"The new Harry Potter book just came out!" The brunette squealed in excitement, showing the rare sparkle in her eyes. Perrie couldn't help but to smile up to her ear just seeing her best friend this gleeful.
"Right! We should go get it after school then." Perrie recommended, excitement was as well evident in her voice. Jade and Perrie are big potter-heads. They grew up watching and reading Harry Potter all their lives — pretty much they know every single thing about it. They could spend the whole week at home, cuddling, munch some biscuits while having a HP movie marathon and they will never get tired.
After school, they straightly went to the bookstore they usually go to. They would always spend time there to read some books and have some tea. It was sort of their hiding place since nobody really goes to this bookstore.
"Hi, Emily" the two best friends greeted the old lady at the counter who happened to own the shop as well. They grew a small bond with the older woman as Jade and Perrie were her all time customers. Emily would sometimes share some old interesting stories about her past life which the two girls find interesting.
"Well hello there, girls," Emily said, her strong Edinburgh accent filled the whole small room furnished with books in different sizes. "I'm not surprised to see you two again today. I believe you're here for something," she flashed a knowing smile to the two best friends as she pulled out two gold in colour books. The two girls' eyes lit up, mouth agape, astonished by how the book looks like it is worth more than a piece of gold.
"Oh my god...this is the most precious thing I have ever seen!" Jade squealed as her hand took a hold of the book.
"You are," Perrie mumbled as she watched the brunette study the golden book. If she was paying more attention she would notice how Emily heard and understood what she said, making the old lady smile in awe.
Perrie has loved Jade more than a best friend for many years now but was afraid to ever confess her desire for the brunette. She didn't want to take the risk of possibly losing their strong friendship. Although Perrie tried to push away the feelings she had for Jade, it was more difficult than answering a biology test. Sometimes her delusional mind plays with her thinking she could get a chance with the brunette but it was clear to her that Jade will never fall for her and they were only best friends.
