It's been a year since the last time Jade cried endlessly. It's been a year since she left London to start a new life for herself. And it's been a year since the last time she saw the person who she loved and hurt her the most.
Jade had finally settled in New York after months of struggling. Fortunately, she had an old friend who was able to help her find a decent job and a place to stay in.
Her life completely changed. After seeing the blonde for the last time, she called her friends and family to tell them she was okay and needed to get away. They understood her situation and respected her decision. After all, Jade was a grown woman who can make decisions for herself.
Just when Jade was about to enter her bathroom, her phone rang. It was her friend-boss, Danielle. "Hey Danielle," she says on the phone.
"Hey Jade, sorry I called a little earlier than usual. There are some change of plans. We'll be attending the meeting in San Francisco today. Our flight will be later in the afternoon," Danielle said on the other side of the phone.
"Wait, I thought that meeting will be in two weeks?"
"Yeah, but the client wanted it to be earlier because they will be out stationed next week."
"Okay, do you need me to prepare anything?" Jade asked.
"Not really, the presentation you sent me the other day is good enough. Just make sure you get to pack your things. We might stay there for few days," Danielle says. The two soon ended their conversation after going through some check lists.
Danielle was the person who helped Jade get a job. She hired Jade to be her assistant and the brunette was gladly to take the job. Danielle was a great person and a good boss. Regardless that she was the boss, she still treated Jade like a friend. Work was still work for them but none of them took advantage of it.
Jade had been working under Peazer Company for 10 months now. It wasn't a very large company but it is well known enough to get high sales. In a short amount of time, Jade was able to travel the world along with Danielle for some business meetings. That was one of the perks of being an assistant. She followed wherever her boss goes. It also had a good pay so she was able to make money for herself.
During their travels, Jade managed to see her family and some friends back in London. Peazer apparently had a joint venture with another company in London which Danielle had to check on. Jade was then given the chance to see her family and friends before they flew back to America. Yes, Perrie was mentioned when she went back. She knew it coming so she was prepared. She did might have expected to see her but she only got the news that Perrie doesn't stay in London anymore. They didn't mention where she went, it was only mentioned that she was given an opportunity to work elsewhere and took it. Jade didn't want to seem interested so she just took in whatever they told her and didn't ask further questions.
