"C'mon Jaz, please," Ember pleaded with open arms. "Yeah, just kick the football already," Jay had an unusially enthusiastic look on his face.

"I don't even get why you both want me to kick the football anyway." Ember gives me a wide eyed glare, "uh because we heard last week you could kick like a goddess and I want to see it for myself," Ember wasn't hesitating and I could tell she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Last week I was at my little sisters netball game and I got really bored- netball isn't really my thing- so I went out to the oval nearby and decided i'd kick the football around with my dad, and well some kids from my school saw and told basically the whole school i was a champion.

"I can only kick it as well as Jay," I insisted trying to convince keely I was no good- no offense Jay- I don't know why i didn't feel like kicking a football but hey I' having an off day. "Um, I can't kick for shit, did something hit you on the head?"

"No Jay, I'm well awear you can't kick a ball," I say it with a certain teasing sound in my voice. I didn't notice at first but I realised Jay was giving me a smug look because of the comment I made.

"Fine, but only once," Ember smiles with excitment after realising that i said I would do it. I kick the ball with all my strength and watch as it goes flying across the school field.

"wow," a look of awe swiped over Jay's face.

The only problem with kicking a football is that it comes down again, and it was coming down near a group of popular kids.

"Oh my god," I couldn't believe what I had just done. My life is ruined, "I just hit Mason Mendel in the head with a football."

I look back at Ember and Jay for help but as usual Ember can't talk to boys or she get's flustered and Jay just shrugs and points towards Mason, who is by now looking around wondering who did that.

I run up to Mason and I notice he was only with his friend Kaleb, thankfully. "I'm so sorry," I try to sound like i'm sorry because I had no idea how this is going to go down. "I didn't mean to hit you, I swear," I look up at Mason seeing as he's slightly taller than me. Than to my realisation Mason is laughing, "it's fine, you kicked that pretty well though," Mason didn't sound angry at all.

"Thanks," I'm so confused, why isn't he mad that I kicked a football at his head.

Mason gives me a weird grin, "I'm surprised your not on the football team."

I roll my eyes and try to make it look obvious that I did it, "Yeah cause Mr Stanley would let a girl join an all boys football team."

"Did you seriously just roll your eyes at me, and than speak to me with sarcasm."

I laugh a little to myself, "no I don't know what you talking about but I would love it if you could give me back the football."

"Oh, you mean this one," Mason kicks the ball off further into the distance. Seriously, "Thanks dick," I glare at Mason seeing as he is probably the most annoying person on this earth.

"No problem Juliet," Mason smirks at me as if he just won the Olympics. I just roll my eyes and run the other way to get the ball and to get as far away from him as possible.

"Jaz I'm so sorry," I look behind me to see Ember runing towards me, and she actually looked worried. "I shouldn't have pressured you to kick the ball, Mason is probably going to kill you.

I roll my eyes almost in sync with Jay's arrival, "It's fine Em, Mason wasn't mad." Ember just looked at me curiously and it was freaking me out, "Ember why are you looking at Jasmine like that, it's scary and wildly amusing." I slapped Jay on the arm trying to tell him not to encourage her to keep on looking at me like that.

"Ow, what was that for, " Jay sounded mad but I knew he wasn't going to stay mad at me for long. I smiled at Jay with a devilish smile, "you know what."

"Seriously though whats wrong Em," I really wanted her to stop looking at me like I killed someone. "OK, I can't help myself," I could tell I was probably going to regret kicking that football more than I already do. Ember started smiling at me as if I could tell her the earth was round, "was still Mason hot close up?" Jay and I just laughed at Embers question, Ember gave us a funny look.

"Why don't you see for yourself?" Jay questioned, "Oh, that's right, because she can't talk to boys." Ember's cheeks go red as she slaps Jay harder that I did.

"Can everyone stop hitting me, please," Jay pleads.

"No," Ember and I say it in sync, Jay flashes us a dirty look but I couldn't care less.

Ember and Jay started bickering but are interrupted by the bell, "we should head to class, I don't want detention again for being late to Mr Myers class again." Ember and Jay nod in agreeance.
