"Today sucks," I pull a sad face at Ember trying to show her how much this day sucks.

"Why does today suck, I mean, yesterday you kicked a football in Mason Mendel's head and he didn't try to kill you."

"Yeah but I have history now and Mason has probably told all his friends- who are popular- and Davina harpid probably wants me dead."

"OK, your life sucks but Jay is in your history class so you'll be fine, besides this is Australia and if need be we can ship you off to America or something to save you the embarrassment." I chuckle slightly at Embers failed attempt at cheering me up, "Fine I'll see you in next period," I wave goodbye to Ember, trying to be positive is harder than I thought.

I walk into Mrs hall's history class and as usual she's not here yet, I see Jay in the back corner of the class room waving at me and pointing to the seat next to his. "Glad to see you decided to show up to school even though your social life could be over," I look at Jay and I could tell he was joking around.

I notice someone walk into the room with messy dirty blonde hair, he almost looks familiar. Until I realised who it was, "shit it's Mason," I whispered to myself. I tried to turn my head as much as I could so he couldn't see my face, and to my luck he sat in front of Jay and I. Great - I think to myself, he hasn't noticed me yet so I might be able to go the rest of class unnoticed. My thoughts are cut off when Mrs Hall comes into the room, everyone settles down easily, Mrs Hall is one of everyone's favourite teachers, well she should be.

"Good Morning class," Mrs Hall smiles warmly at the all of her students. " Today we will be doing a quiz, seeing as it is nearly the end of term 2 and the school holidays start soon." I hate quizzes, I do fine in history because I'm good at this subject, but it still sucks.

"We will do a whole class revision before we start the quiz, I don't want any of my students failing," Mrs. Hall seemed excited about this quiz, which probably means it's going to be fun in her eyes. "Who had the highest rank in feudal Japan society? No one? How about you miss Filly," Mrs. Hall points at me. I can't believe she did that, now Mason is looking at me and probably recognizes me.

"Um, the Emperor?" I wasn't entirely sure if that was right because I was to busy wondering why everyone was still staring at me, including Mason. "correct Miss Filly, well done," Jay smiles at me and whispers, "nice save."

"Hey, brunette," I look in front of me only to see Mason Mendel leaning in on my desk. "Do I know you from somewhere?" I shake my head.

"You must have me confused with someone else," I smile at him hoping he looks away, but I guess that was too much to ask from Mason. "Aren't you that girl that kicked a football at my head," I look back up at him trying to think of something to say but I'm terrible at excuses. "Mr. Mendel turn around now," phew save by Mrs. Hall.

"sorry Mrs. Hall," Mason says apologetically.

The next hour of doing some stupid quiz is really boring but by the time Mrs. Hall is done marking it was worth it because as usual I got an A in my history quiz. The bell rings loudly and all the students stand behind their desks waiting to be dismissed by Mrs. Hall, Miss Filly well done you got an A as usual. You can all be dismissed.

"What! You got an A again." I laugh at Embers over reaction to my score on my test, "Well, your obviously going to pass end of year 12 history exams." I notice one of the kids in my history class in the distance, than I realize he's walking towards us. Jay screws up his nose and says, "isn't that Kaleb from our history class, Masons right hand man." It takes me a while to comprehend what Jay was saying but than I realized he was right, it was Kaleb. "Hi," Kaleb sounds really nervous. "Your names Jasmine right, you did really well in the history test."

"yeah?" I'm really confused because I don't know what's going on.

"well I'm not doing so well in history class and Mrs. Hall wants me to ask someone to tutor me about feudal Japan history, so I was wondering if you could tutor me since your doing so well in that class." At first, I was shocked that he wanted me to tutor him, but I couldn't say no to him because he does need to pass this subject in the end of year 12 exams.

"Sure," I don't have a problem with teaching someone my amazing skills.

"Thanks Jasmine, I'll see you this afternoon in the library than," Kaleb skips off happily into the distance.

"Well aren't you a good Samaritan," Ember teases.

"I'm gonna head home," I wave good bye to Jay and Ember only to bump into someone when I turn around. "Seriously Mason can't you leave me alone," I sound angry, but I don't care I just want to go home. "No, not until you admit it was you who kicked a football at my head." I roll my eyes at him, this is starting to get annoying, can't he just get over it. "So, it was you Juliet," I give him an astonished look.

"One I didn't do anything, two that's not my name."

"One no one else rolls their eyes like that and two are you going to tell me your real name." I laugh in my head, who does he think he is.

"No," I'm not going to tell him anything because he is in my way of going home and sleeping, which I would rather do than talk to him. "Fine than, Juliet it is," he looks into my eyes as he says that, I never realised his eyes were baby blue. Mason turns around and walks away leaving me stunned, there are way better names than Juliet.
