30 minutes before the practice is over, I take a quick shower and change my clothes. This way, there'll be no 'conflict' when changing. I might as well just change when they are finished doing so.
I stay for a few minutes watching them practicing after changing.
Looks like Tokuchi also left before the practice is over, though he practically just sit the whole time after playing catch. Well, not like I'm the one to talk. That aside, they are not that bad as I expect. I feel they are capable of growing further than this. I wish it would go well too when the games start. I need to do something with their motivation anyway.
I saw some of them secretly glancing on my way. "*Scoffs* What a bunch of show offs." I mumble and as I am kind of getting irked, maybe it is better to leave for now.
I bid goodbye to the team and went home. I am actually staying in a hotel quite near the stadium.

"*Sigh* Dasai... (So lame...). Their much stronger in their practice." I mumble. We are today in our first pre-season game, and we're against Blue Mars. I am sitting right now beside Tokuchi.
"Maa ne (Well)." Said Tokuchi, puffing his smoke.
"Oi! Your smoke reeks!" I grab it from his mouth and step on it. He just give me a distasteful look.
"More importantly, why are you wearing a jacket? Think your some secret weapon?" Tokuchi scoffs. Well, I'm wearing a coach's jacket on top of my uniform.
"Well, ain't I? I'm talented after all." I jokingly brag. He just keep quiet.
"Well, everyone is surprised already that I am in Lycaons' bench, but I want my entrance will be much more flashy. Me joining Lycaons is still not formally announced yet." I smile mischievously.
"Tokuchi, go warm up now. Your going to enter in the next inning." Ordered Yuuzaburou.
"Iranne yo, sonna mo (I don't need 'em.)" Tokuchi audaciously replied. *Whistle* With his attitude, he alerted everyone.
"Just shut up and warm up will you?" Captain Ideguchi butt in.
"Tokuchi, will you come here for a second?" Kinosaki pull him inside.
"Tokuchi, please don't make any ruckus anymore! I know that it's not your fault but Kojima-san cannot participate the pre-season games because of his injury and the team is blaming you."
"Ahh, so that's what's happening... Go back now, sooner or later, you will enter the game." I cut their conversation.

The pre-season game against Fingers had just finished. Right now, the only thing I could feel is goosebumps. Not just now, I also felt it when we are against Blue Mars. He is amazing. No, it's more than that. I can't explain it. This feeling is really new to me.
I never thought there is a kind of person like that. Is he an esper? I know he could read the minds of others like I do, but then he could manipulate them frighteningly accurate as he wants. This year's going to be really fun. Maybe I should try studying more in that field.
I could imagine Saikawa's surprised and annoyed face right now. This sure will make a hole in his company's pocket.
The next day, I start spying again from Saikawa's office.
"Yeah he's pretty good, that guy. We'll keep him in farm team for a couple of months, teach him some more pitches --" Ohh, if it isn't Yozaburou.
"I don't care! Promote him to first string immediately!" Well, that's the best course of action.
"Y-yes sir." What an underdog he is. I think Saikawa won't let Tokuchi play for the mean time.
"H-how about Miyazono sir?" He added.
"Promote her also in the first string. I won't profit from her much being in the farm games. Also, don't bring her in a game until I told you to. She'll be announced as a player right there. You may leave now." Hehe. I know he would said that.
*Beep*
Maybe I would visit Tokuchi today to share to him the news.

*Bzzt bzzt*
I heard the phone of manager vibrates."Uhh, restroom, restroom." He mumbles and hurry inside.
We are currently in a middle of the game against the Bugaboos, still in the pre-season. But the thing is, the score is 6-0 at our disadvantage and it's still in the 2nd inning, our offense.
After a few minutes, Yuuzaburou came back.
"Miyazono, go warm up inside. Your going to play in the 4th inning." Yes! Finally, I am going to play.
"I don't really need to. I've warmed up already a while ago."
"But–" I look straight in his eyes.
"Please let me play now. I don't want to lose any further." I intentionally let my teammates hear it with my serious expression. All of my teammates look at us. Ahh right, they still haven't seen me throw a pitch against a batter since all I have done so far is coach them.
"O-okay. If you say so." Good.
"Strike! Batter out!" We heard the umpire declare.
"It's the end of Lycaons' offense this inning. It's time for the offense of Bugaboos! Will the Lycaons recover or they continue to sink?" Said the commentator.
"Pitcher change. No. 28, Takahashi to No. 11, Miyazono."
"W-what did it say?"
"Is that a mistake?"
"Isn't Miyazono their new pitching coach. And she's a girl at that?" Mumbles like that filled the stadium.
"Wait everyone, we've just got a call directly from the owner of Lycaons and we've just confirmed that there is no doubt Miyazono is indeed a PLAYER OF LYCAONS!!" The commentator confirmed.
"WOAH!!"
"Seriously!?"
"Is it allowed to have a woman play baseball?""Furthermore, Miyazono is going to be the very first professional female baseball player in the Japanese Baseball history!"
I take my jacket off to reveal my uniform and grab my gloves. I smirked before leaving the dugout. Its time for comeback.
"Yo Bugabrats! You will never get another point from us. Not until I leave the mound."
