"Ahh, as expected it's Tokuchi. It's his third duel with Johnson in this game. What's surprising is that all three times, it all happened with no outs and a runner on third."

"Ahh, the third baseman Fujita is drawn in. Their first priority is to prevent Johnson from stealing home. Isn't that right, Kawato-san?"

"After hearing manager Shirooka's theory about the 100% success rate in stealing home, they have to face the batter."

"The theory manager Shirooka said after yesterday's game is that, Johnson only need 2.6 seconds to reach the homeplate from a big lead. On the other hand, the ball takes 1.94 seconds to reach the catcher's glove from the start of Tokuchi's pitching motion. But that's only if the batter let the pitch go by. In reality, a bunt will be used. The ball must be thrown away from the bat in order to prevent that. In that case, Ideguchi will need 0.69 seconds to touch the runner." He continued.

"That'll be 2.63 seconds in total. It's slower than Johnson's 2.6 seconds. That means Tokuchi forfeited the duel with Johnson, and choose to face the batter instead. But the next batter, Kohinata is very good at bunts, Kawato-san?"

"With no outs, a bunt might not be used. A fly ball to the outfield will be good as well."

"The worst will be walking the batter to avoid the situation. No matter what, Tokuchi is in a tight spot."

It's the bottom of 9th inning, in our defense. The score is 2-1 in our lead. This 1-point lead doesn't hold much power, huh? He should protect this or the situation will be troublesome.

I glanced at Toua. He is looking at Johnson. Are?

I glanced at Johnson myself. He is saying something at Toua. What is it? I narrowed my eyes.

Formidable gambler... Gutless...bastard? He's taunting him huh...

I glanced at Toua again. He... smirked? Yabaii...

"Fujita, move back." *Sigh* what do you expect? He is Toua, a bloodthirsty gambler... I could hear Saikawa's evil laugh ridiculing Toua. What is his plan anyway?

Ideguchi walk near the mound, probably questioning Toua's reckless decision.

"What exactly is Tokuchi doing?" I heard Takahashi react.

"Well, I could understand Toua's side. If we're not going to face Johnson now and run away, nothing will change. Time will come we need battle his speed." I pointed out.

"Alright, the game resumes. Because of Toua's decision, they need to battle Johnson's speed. Of course, Johnson is taking a huge lead. The batter, Kohinata is posing for squeeze play as well."

"Now, it's time for the battle. Toua lifts his leg." After doing so, Johnson dash to the homeplate. What now? I frown as I bit my nail.

Toua start winding up...

"And he... throws it!"

"AHH!! The ball is thrown towards the batter's ankle!"  Ideguchi caught it in response.

Johnson slides to the homeplate and Ideguchi chase after him.

"Out!"

"Johnson is out! It's the first time Johnson failed at stealing! Just as expected, the man who stopped him is Tokuchi Toua!" Yell the commentator.

*Sigh* Why am I always worrying over nothing? I smiled.

At the end, Toua shut down the remaining two batters.

"Omedetou. (Congratulations.)" I pat his arm while smirking.

"I'll go first to change." I wave my hand while walking to the door. They are still busy celebrating and clearing the dugout anyway.
