"Now the extra inning is starting! With the Lycaons on the defense! Who is going to win this second game?! What do you think Sekine-san?"

"With Tokuchi's state now, unless they would change their pitcher, Lycaons will lose." No, we won't. We will prevail.

The game continues, and it looks like Toua is nearing his limit. His control lost its effects a long time ago already.

"Here comes the pitch. He... throws it!"

"Ohh! It's a hit! It's going to the right field!" and I am currently chasing after that ball.

"The batter started running and reaching first base... WOAH! Miyazono jumps and step on the fence and...she caught the ball! Tokuchi is saved by the defense! Such fighting spirit Miyazono has!" Well, I jumped to reach the ball and knowing I can't reach it as I am approaching the wall, I use it to make my jump higher and caught the ball. The crowd cheer.

"Miyazono! Nice catch!" Said my teammates.

"MIYAZONO-SAN! Fight on!" Cheer the cute little girls near the fence. Kawaii! I smile at them sweetly. Really, I'm so lucky having these little sunshine my fans.

"Go onni-chan! Fight on!" Cheer the little girl to the pitcher boy.

The boy looks at her and wave, before doing his pitching motion.

I throw the ball back to Toua while mouthing "Hang on." Though I don't know if he could see it at this distance.

He again manage to get three outs and change gears. I went back to the dugout to prepare for our offense. I look at Takami's direction. We met eyes and he smiles smugly, mouthing to me "We will crush Tokuchi."

"Hehh? Mou sasenai. (I won't let you.)" I mumble.

"What is it Miyazono? Is there a problem?" Asked Kojima.

"It's nothing. More importantly, Kojima-san, does your injury still hurt? Can you bat already?" I asked. I could see Toua looking at us in my peripheral vision.

"It just have an uncomfortable feeling but it won't affect my batting." He answered.

"Please forgive my rudeness. Though I'm just your kouhai (junior), but can I ask you a favor?" I asked.

"Ahh, it's alright. Tell me what is it?"

"If no one manage to hit after me, please play." He gave me an eye-smile.

"You really have a very clear resolve of winning it is frighteningly amazing. The Lycaons is really lucky having you and Tokuchi."

"Well, my life everyday is pretty much been a war, and losing is not a choice." It's never been a choice.

"... Don't worry, I am planning on playing sooner or later." He replied, gaving off an awkward smile.

"Thank you Kojima-san!" Kojima-san is a nice person. Maybe he could have my respect. I wonder how he acts as a father.

What if he became my father and not Otou-san? Will he acknowledge me? Will I experience...

I erased that thought immediately, knowing it is pure nonsense.

Now it's time for me to bat.

"The lead off batter for Lycaons this inning is none other than the queen of the mound, Miyazono! She is a really talented fellow. She would really get my respect if she can even bat...
